    Re: SNW S2: Subspace Rhapsody

I’ve watched that Klingon scene a dozen times and I’m still laughing. The subtlety of them returning to character at the last moment and the combination of confusion and shame was just wonderful.

It’s an episode I’ll only ever watch once but fair play to a brilliantly original idea and execution.

I’ll never watch that episode in full again…. But I might rewatch that Klingon Boy Band scene a few more times. Really funny

    Re: PIC S3: Vox

As usual there is a massive amount of nit picking here.

They have conceived an original plot in a familiar setting.

    It’s nostalgia Galore.

They have credibly brought Data back, reunited the crew and we have seen two versions of the Enterprise leave space dock in one episode in what is a send off season for this crew.

Sit back, relax and enjoy and resist the urge to be Jammer. Let Jammer be Jammer.

    Re: PIC S3: Surrender

    I mean this in a nice way…

But this message forum reads like a collection of opinions from long term experts and not fans.

I love all the opinions but reading what you all say takes the joy away from watching the episodes.

    Jammer is still the benchmark.

    Re: PIC S3: Dominion

The direction of travel here is dark.
This is perhaps as morally challenging as the best DS9 and of course very obviously linked. Even uncomfortable viewing at one point.

    “I didn’t know.”

Great performances delivered around those scenes.

Spiner is brilliantly ambiguous, even though I’m not sure (at this far point) if bringing Data back is justified and won’t damage what’s gone before. Having said that, it was a great moment …

“I am here Geordi. I will try”

Not too happy it had to end with a ship takeover. Not sure about the mind control stuff. But I am liking the Jack intrigue.

A very good episode for me. Looking forward to Jammers score

Yeah. Sure. You’re bailing out now.

    Sounds like bollocks to me.

I’m Irish though. So don’t send a gunman to my schools. We don’t do killing kids. Not the guns fault though so let’s sell more guns.

America was like a dream to me growing up.
    Not now

    Re: DSC S4: Rubicon

It was better than last week.

Enjoyed seeing a Nhan back but she should have fired on book.

The theme of middle grounds worked fine except it wasn’t realistic.

I just don’t look forward to DISCO episodes. I think maybe it tries too hard to hit the emotional notes and underwhelms with its season arcs. Last year case in point. This year I’m dreading the worst. If you don’t invest the time in species Ten C then there won’t be a satisfying pay off when they are finally revealed, short of brilliant acting, which DISCO lacks.

I did at least like the twist at the end where the DMA reappeared, they are back to square one and this time with a a disastrous first contact situation.

I hope they can do something good with this. Instead I fear we will get Mickey/bookey part one hundred and i don’t give a rats ass.

We are very far away from TNG and DS9 here in terms of story telling (and I want DISCO to succeed). Prodigy is far more original and engaging and hitting the right emotional notes.

    Re: DSC S4: All In

Forgive me for what I’m gonna say.

    Utter fking tosh.

    I stopped after 10 mins.

Make a big deal of going to the galactic rim. But Burnham knows someone there? How the bloody hell is that credible?

I just turned the episode off.

Re: DSC S4: Choose to Live

    Utter fecking tosh.
The QM aspect involving her mum is so convoluted it’s a waste of an episode. It was bad in season 3.
    Now it’s just utter shite.
Watching Discovery is the weekly repetitive triumph of disappointment over hope.
If it stopped now I wouldn’t care.
But I’ll still watch the next one.

    Re: DSC S3: Unification III

    This episode made me angry.

I really like Discovery. I can put up with Burnham puking her emotions. I can put up with Tilly being a twat.

I really thought the thing that would bother me most is Tilly being made first officer.

But no. Burnhams mother showing up was just plain fking contrived, stupid and unnecessary on so many levels.

Re: DSC S3: That Hope Is You, Part 1

I’ve been over 20 years coming here and reading the reviews.

But more than ever the comments make me think haters are gonna hate. Including the reviewer.

I’m not rating this the same as DS9 because it’s not DS9.

    Time to move on.

    Bye Jammer.

I now leave the site and stop

    Re: Star Trek Into Darkness

Well Mitch I am sorry to say that Jammers review would have been the definitive review if it had come out before now but I am sure im not the only one who stopped caring long ago. And I have probably checked for the review 100 times over the months.

Jammer - respect for your circumstances but a man like you after everything you have done cannot just shut up shop for this long. Its like you dont care anymore and whether you like it or not, everthing you have done and the following you have creates a level of expectation from and (yes) a responsibility to the very many people who have followed you for many years, including me.

I still want to give you the benefit of the doubt on this but it honestly seems like you have either forgotten about your followers, decided you owe us nothing, have major life events you cant discuss, or have stopped caring.
