Re: TOS S1: Space Seed
I hate to get political, but the fawning over Khan by so many of the principle characters (nevermind the problematic McGivers) reminds me of the authoritarian path that the United States is on now. The danger of the tyrant takes a back seat to his power and charisma, and as a result, the US is suffering many more casualties than Spock. Yes, WoK shows us the natural and tragic end of warlord worship, but this episode was not created with that end in mind. Attitudes have changed with time, but I'm afraid that too many of us still haven't learned better.

Re: DSC S1: What's Past Is Prologue
Shannon, you've clearly got a naughty list of commenters that you don't like. Skip their posts and stop trying to keep them from talking. If you can't handle anyone with a negative opinion then go find a forum that doesn't have any. Good luck with that.

Re: ORV S1: Pria
This show is absolutely amazing. It is the best thing since TNG by far. The direction and style is stellar and even the writing makes Discovery look like the work of a pimply adolescent child.

Re: ENT S4: Observer Effect
I want to translate some of Hoshi's rantings during her escape attempt, for viewers' benefit:
As Hoshi first tries to leave quarantine in decom; standing at the exit interacting with the electronic "lock" panel:
@20:50 Hoshi (in Spanish) "I know that I'm backward. Enterprise doesn't go until tomorrow. I only need five minutes."
Hoshi and Trip at the airlock, minutes later:
@22:05 Trip: "Hoshi, you have to stop. That's an airlock. You open those doors, we die."
Hoshi (in Russian): "Of course. Goodbye."
