Lelia should be able to remember La’an (subject to any failures of memory as discussed) since the timeline is reset after the point in time where they met so the encounter between them would not be reset. Everything that happened to Kirk and La’an on the trip back to the past remains in the restored timeline.

I would also add that although Spock would be unlikely to exist in the alternate timeline, it is possible the Earth and Vulcan have diplomatic relations (or did at one time), so his parents could have met through that (as they did in the prime timeline). Without that, Spock would not look the same as his dna would be different.

Finally, where did people get the idea Earth and Vulcan are enemies in the alternate timeline. They are clearly not Allies, but the interaction between Kirk and Spock does not suggest to me hostility between the parties beyond the Vulcan transgression of invading sovereign territory to ask for assistance, which seems to resolve without incident.

What a relief a 10 episode running order is for this disaster of a series.

The first two episodes were clearly a complete fluke.

The quicker this joke of a show is cancelled the better.

I'm not going to watch anymore.

The first couple of episodes were great but since then its just descended into more of the same nu trek rubbish.

Maybe there will be the odd good episode and Ill keep my eye on the reviews, but I certainly wont be tuning in every week.

What a shame.

The first two episodes of this show were great, unfortunately its been all downhill since then.

The last couple of episodes have shown all the worst tendencies of Discovery unfortunately.

I'm predicting SNW wont last more than 2 seasons.

Absolute Rubbish.

Here's hoping Nurse Chapel goes the way of Tasha Yar and dies. Of course she won't, canon and all that, but my god what a terrible character and awful acting performance.

Pike needs to show more range. His inner strength, confidence and ability to inspire others were great in a cameo role in DISC, but leading a show we need to see more nuance.

I still cant understand a word the Doctor says.

Also - Ponn Farr? Spock seems to be getting it on every 7 minutes, never mind every seven years.

I don't find Number One to be an interesting character.

I'm remarkably surprised by the quality of these first two episodes.

I have found Discovery to be earnest, but mixed quality at best, and I felt Picard was, sadly, generally awful. So my expectations were not high for Strange New Worlds.

Yet, two episodes in, I'm really quite blown away by what I've seen.

Perhaps this new era of Trek has finally nailed down the balance between melding new sensibilities and styles of the time with what made Trek so great in the first place?

TNG, as we all know took 2-3 years to find its identity, blending the late 80s/90s attitudes against the qualities of TOS, a style that was then finalised with DS9, VOY, and to some extent, ENT.

Perhaps something similar has happened here with the first few seasons of DISC and Picard leading to Strange New Worlds hopefully being a great success.
