Re: SNW S2: The Broken Circle
I find it very interesting that in the Trek universe you can ignore direct ordeers and steal a starship and face zero repurcussions. This is like the third time this has happened.
It's literally their flagship also. It would be like some acting captain taking an Aircraft Carrier for a jaunt for a few weeks around hostile countries and nothing happens. Just help yourself by all means.

Re: ORV S3: Domino
I don't think so. Clearly the Krill were going to use it to commit genocide, something the Union charter forbids. I'm assuming they knew this because the Admiral left it all in his confession. He was returning to face punishment before he was murdered.
So the Union were either faced with the possible genocide of a now helpless enemy that has already given their surrender on one side, and a hostile Krill/Moclon alliance on the other.
I look at it like this. If the Soviets in WW2 had not been content with German surrender but wanted to destroy the entire nation and it's possible, would the rest of the allies stand around doing nothing or be forced to engage the soviets.

Re: ORV S3: Twice in a Lifetime
Ah I see. That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Re: ORV S3: Shadow Realms
It was just a weird episode. Like where did most of the crew go? Seemed to be just the main cast for most of the show. They also seem very flippant about casualties in this show. Like "oops, that's another 20 dead crew members this week. oh well, let's pick up some more at the next stop"
