Re: BSG S4: The Plan

Really enjoyed the opening footage of the basestar attack on the colonies, and the impressive mood it set. Yet less than half way through, after thinking "is this canon!?" a few times, and finally answering myself with "well, it's not going to be part of my personal canon" - and believe me, I'd never even contemplated a concept like personal canon before - I had to shut it off.

Interested to hear if any fan of the series sat through all of "The Plan" and enjoyed it.

Re: BSG S1: The Miniseries

Is that a spoiler for the finale in Alexey's comment above (not entirely sure, I tried to stop reading it) ?! Yikes.

Re: BSG S4: Escape Velocity

My hair stood up on the back of my neck when Baltar was shown actually being man handled by projected Six? The WTF reaction of the guard refusing him entry to the assembly, as in how is this guy physically moving in that way - like Jammer said, it feels like proof finally that Six is not only not just in Gaius' head, but actually can pick him up and throw him. Agreed that it might come across like slapstick, but it.was.freaky.

Re: ENT S3: North Star

So the fate of the entire planet (earth that is) rides on Archer's shoulders, and yet he's on some random planet risking getting his head blown off sticking up for some random kid in a saloon, by getting in the middle of some dispute he doesn't even necessarily understand. This is too far a stretch for Archer's character at this point in the Xindi story.

Re: ENT S2: Cogenitor

Liked this episode, but Trip's immediate and overencompassing interest in the cogenitor felt a bit rushed and contrived.

The Enterprise encounters a friendly advanced species and Trip is barely interested in the engineering marvels they're willing to share. I couldn't buy this, and so found Trip's ever increasing interference difficult to believe.

Re: ENT S1: Dear Doctor

I agree with Jammer, this is Star Trek at its best, and perfectly written for Enterprise's exploration of humanaty's first steps grappling with these kinds of issues.

Don't want to start an argument here, but I'm not sure why some of the earlier comments equate holding back alien technology from a society that would have massive implications, some good some bad, for both these species, with the worst moments of our own history. I feel Archer and Phlox faced an honest moral dilemma here.

Btw, I see on the interweb that the actress who played Crewman Cutler died a few years ago. What a cutie she was. Sorry to hear the news.
