Re: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

I just watched this movie for the third time since its initial release. I chuckled often. Maybe I am just in a good mood or maybe there are too many people who take these shows too seriously. This film is jovial for true fans of the characters like me who enjoy the camaraderie between the actors.

Re: ENT S4: These Are the Voyages...

I think everything has been said that I was thinking about this ending.

It left me feeling sad in more ways than one but mostly for the actors who were short changed by the writers.

Re: ENT S4: In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II

I enjoyed this episode more than the first part. I especially liked the ending... Empress Sato!

Silly fun.

Re: ENT S4: In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I

This episode was so ludicrous it could not hold my attention. I had to rewind after seeing the last 5 minutes because I thought I missed something. I wasted time because everything leading up to the ending sucked.

Yeah T'Pol and Hoshi uniforms were really stupid.

At least the ending was good enough for me to want to seed the next episode.

Re: ENT S4: Bound

Funny how the truth hurts, huh? People don't like seeing men reduced to babbling fools over women but in reality it happens every day on a lesser level. I have seen it many times and even today when a pretty petite blonde walked into a restaurant the men seemed to trip over themselves. So yeah, this was an exaggerated yet humorous depiction of human nature and sexuality. It also dabbled into how women respond to other women who appear to be a threat but they could have gone much deeper with that than was shown.

Now the Trip and T'Pol connection is so obvious but at least it is fun seeing Trip try to control his actions even better than a Vulcan.

Phlox is definitely my favorite character on Enterprise.

Another enjoyable episode for me. This also felt like a series finale.

Re: ENT S3: Zero Hour

I enjoyed this episode!

I only wish this season didn't have so many parallels to previous series. The Guardians too similar to the Worm Hole Aliens (Prophets) and Dominion from DS9.

Re: ENT S3: The Forgotten

Finally an episode where I enjoyed watching Trip. The scene with T'Pol telling her about dealing with his sister's death was the best performance I've seen from him.

BTW, the Reptilian ships are awesome in appearance.

Re: ENT S3: Harbinger

I think Travis is a beautiful man and glad he was given something to do in this episode even if minor.

I also think Malcom character sucks. It just was not believable that he could hold his own against the MACO guy's butt.

Trip and T'Pol were funny especially during the "talk about last night" scene.

Re: ENT S3: Doctor's Orders

I agree with Marco P and Brock!

Reading the comments on Jammer's Review scares me. There are some really creepy and cynical people on here.

Anyway, I think Phlox is one of my favorite characters of all Star Trek series among Data, Worf, and Captain Picard.

But I cannot help wonder if the writers were out of ideas so they were picking ideas from previous series.

Re: ENT S3: Similitude

Interesting comments.

This episode did nothing for me. I could not help comparing to Tuvok and maybe since the other series have done the provoking topics there is nothing ground breaking left for this series.

Re: ENT S3: Exile

I also kept thinking Beauty and the Beast. Hoshi is a natural beauty and so is Travis. I am glad Hoshi got another story but I am very annoyed when there are only a glimpse or two of Travis.

One of the reasons my enjoyment of Voyager dropped was because of Seven. Her character was great as well as her acting but the catsuit had to go. Then Enterprise does the same thing with T'Pol catsuit which became more colorful as if the grey wasn't attention grabbing enough. The show became the Seven of Nine show and Enterprise seems to be the T'Pol show.

I don't blame the actors. I am not sure what the writers, directors, and producers were thinking with this show.

Trying to finish out the series since I made it this far.

Re: ENT S2: Precious Cargo

Although it was predictable with little plot I thought it was light=hearted and kind of fun to watch. I don't expect a serious episode (especially from Enterprise) each time I watch. Sometimes it is relaxing to enjoy a mindless show.

However, I keep watching this series in hopes of more profound plots.

Re: ENT S2: Carbon Creek

Don't Vulcans have a weird tint to their skin? I remember episodes where Spock had to explain his complexion to humans. So why didn't anyone notice these Vulcans looked a bit odd?

So many discrepancies in this series.

Re: ENT S2: A Night in Sickbay

Weird that no one seemed to realize this episode really wasn't about the dog. It was about Captain Archer and his sexual frustrations. LOL

In all previous Star Trek series I don't remember any Vulcans dressing as scantily as T'Pol. This series reminds me of the bad Hulk movie in contrast to the good Hulk movie.

I am only continuing to watch this series out of curiosity. I saw cosplay Andorians at Dragon*Con this year and felt mortified being a Star Trek fan but did know who those blue aliens with antennas were.

Re: ENT S1: Broken Bow

At the second attempt to watch this pilot I still did not like it but did finish this time. One reason I had difficulty watching is I don't like Scott Bakula as Captain Archer. His demeanor, attitude, and language seems forced. T'Pol and the overly pouty mouth is distracting.

The other characters might grow on me but didn't catch my attention much.

On the positive side of T'Pol I can imagine that she was chosen for the character because of her although striking yet dead emotionless eyes (great for portraying a Vulcan) and her great figure.

Other than that, I wasn't really impressed with the pilot plot.

I did enjoy the Klingons!

I also love the puppy!

Re: VOY S7: Endgame

Just finished watching series Finale. I enjoyed the final episode and thought the Borg Queen limbs detaching was funny.

I am glad B'Elanna gave birth on Voyager but wished Tom had gotten back to Sick Bay in time.

Chakotay came across as the creepy older man pursuing the younger beautiful female employee.

I know there have been many jibes at Harry Kim's character but he was needed to make the crew work. How boring if all the crew members were the same. I enjoyed his character much more so than Chakotay or Tuvok.

I believe this was a great ending to the series because additional scenes would have just been a lot of repetitive drama that was seen when the crew were talking to families on the ship.

Re: VOY S7: Natural Law

Even though I completely agree with what Elliott stated this episode was a little boring for me because I did not sense any chemistry between Seven and Chakotay. I try to use my imagination and pretend there is chemistry for the plot's sake but as a couple they are so boring.

Re: DS9 S4: Little Green Men

This was a fun episode but could have been much better. I felt like it was thrown together at the last minute.

The excessive smoking bothered me. I'm glad the Ferengi pointed out how stupid people are for doing it.

Re: DS9 S6: One Little Ship

I watched this with my 10 year old daughter and we laughed and joked the entire time. It was all in fun and should not have been taken so seriously by some. I suggest watching it again with a lighter heart and laugh away!

Things my daughter and I said:
"Where is the remote control?"
"Tiny ship!"
"I want one!"
"Look at it go!"
"Swat it!"

Even the end was hilarious where Odo showed his sense of humor with Bashir and O'Brien.

Re: DS9 S6: Change of Heart

I am re-watching the series since I missed so many when it was airing. I saw this episode last night and enjoyed it so much it compelled me to search for reviews.

I have to admit the missteps were annoying but the end result makes it worthwhile. Like others have said "Change of Heart" finally gave Jadzia and Worf what they needed to be a viable couple.

I do believe this was the most romantic episode and they are now my favorite couple.

Also I find people are still commenting about this series years after it first aired is AWESOME!
