Re: DS9 S4: The Way of the Warrior

How did the Klingon fleet manage to beat the Defiant back to DS9?

Re: TNG S1: Skin of Evil

I think Ro Laren eventually became the character Yar was intended to be.

Re: TNG S1: The Arsenal of Freedom

I still think this is the best episode of the first series. If it had come earlier in the run I wonder if Denise Crosby might have though differently about quitting as this was one of the few episodes that gave Yar something meaningful to do.

Re: TNG S5: The Next Phase

A real shame that Ro wasn't brought in as regular character; afterall there was definitely room in the cast after Wil Wheaton left and it would have been nice to have a regular helmsman.

I always found it ironic that the stronger female characters in TNG weren't part of the main cast - Ro, Guinan, Pulaski - even Shelby! Yar could have been great but Crusher was woefully underused and Troi was just a waste of space until they gave her a uniform.

Re: TNG S6: Chain of Command, Part I

I always thought Ro should have been featured in this story. It would have been interesting to see her reaction to being under the command of a man who helped secure a peace treaty with a race she despises. I couldn't see her being Jellicos' number one fan so it would have been quite good to see her having Riker's back. She certainly would have been used to greater effect here than the material she got stuck with in 'Rascals'
