Re: DS9 S1: Babel

I like this episode.

However, the main thing that niggles me about it....

Why when someone falls victim to the disease does the person (Dax, Sisko being main culprits) get this look of fear/horror/confusion as they are speaking their first affected sentence? Surely to them its absolutely normal, the other people in the conversation would be aware, but no themselves yet.

Re: VOY S3: The Swarm

So the swarm have transporter technology. Despite numerous times being told it didn't exist in the delta quadrant.

"Evasive pattern Beta 140....dual attack mode"

"Initiate attack maneuver kappa 140"

Since when has a Starfleet capt called attacks from a playbook?

Re: VOY S1: Ex Post Facto

Another poor episode of Voyager, this story could've been (was) told exactly the same in Tng. The whole point of Voyager should have been their journey home, the scavenge, the blending of the 2 crews. Not incidental occurrences on random planets for no reason.

Why were Kim & Tom even in the system alone? what were they and Voyager both doing that required them to seperate?

Re: ENT S3: Extinction

Was I not paying enough attention?

one moment trip is getting his feet rubbed, the next Archer is explaining about primate Xindi and their star coordinates. Where did he get this information from?

And didn't he already understand Xindi coordinates when he was given the directions to the Xindi homeworld in the previous episode? Are these episodea written in complete separation, with the writers of one not knowing what's in the next?!

Re: ENT S3: The Xindi

few thoughts....

The spatial anomaly in the cargo hold, why is it stuck there? presumably the ship is travelling through space, so they would've passsd the anomaly on their travel - yet some how its attached itself to a certain part of Enterprise.

The Xindi prisoner in his dying breath gives the coordinates to the Xindi homeworld. How did the crew know how to interperate these coordinates?

Also they reached that homeworld awfully quickly!

Re: ENT S2: The Expanse

Watching this episode as I type.

2 Points so far

1. The Delphic expanse is "2000 light years across", and it'll take 3 months to reach at warp 5. I make that approx 50 light years away from Earth. Yet Archer has never heard of it!

2. The photonic torpedoes have a range 50x greater than their previous ones. That seems an awful lot more!

Re: ENT S2: The Breach

I'm currently rewatching Enterprise on Netflix, in anticipation of Discovery later in the year.

Some of the episodes are truly dire, I don't recall think they were so poor back when they forst aired.

As for this episode, its better than the average for season 2 - but not great in its own right.

I agree with other comments re Travis' climbing skills, I noticed this before and was hoping during Horizon they'd show some sort of recreational climbing wall/simulator to at least add some plausibility.

The tribble was a nice touch, anything that links into TOS reminds me that this is meant to be a prequel series.
