Re: DS9 S4: The Visitor

It's certainly not a bad episode by any means. It was fine. But I just don't get what I'm missing here. It was cliche and predictable, the old-age makeup was hilariously crappy, and the alternate future (the only reason I personally watched the episode in the first place) wasn't very interesting.

That said, if most people find this episode moving, I'd say that's a good thing. It's not like there's anything bad writing or bad messages in this episode. This episode had good goals IMO, and if those goals succeeded on most people, then that's also good.

Re: DS9 S4: Homefront

The only problem was that with a limited series budget to work with, you could never feel that Earth was at stake, since all you saw was San Francisco and a handful of cast extras. Sometimes it felt like Sisko, that admiral and that President were the only ones on the planet.

Re: ANDR S2: The Things We Cannot Change

God this episode's ending INFURIATES me.

The premise up till then had me on the edge of my seat. Two realities and a black hole, I thought this was going to be about either time travel or parallel universes. I was having fun guessing what was going on. I thought maybe the black hole was causing two Dylans from different universes to share memories, or something.

And when Dylan said to his "wife," "I've seen you before," and then it cut to a flashback with Trance Gemini, I gasped aloud, because I took that to mean that Trance was the wife. And I waited for "Trance" to finally reveal what was going on.................and no, I was just jumping the gun, giving the episode too much credit. I was afraid of the "nope, doesn't mean shit, it was just a dream. We needed a filler episode." ending. FRELL!

Re: VOY S6: Pathfinder

Just watched this episode again, and I am always impressed by Dwight S.'s portrayl of StarFleet's most flawed Genius, the "Brian Wilson of the Federation"
