Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The worst thing about this movie is Han and Leia's chemistry, or complete lack-thereof.

Re: DS9 S2: Cardassians
Just rewatched this and while I enjoyed it, I also noticed two terrible flaws;
1) Why on earth did Sisko arbitrarily decide to send a Cardassian boy to Mile's quarters? Especially a boy who just bit the hand of another person? And why does it seem like no one consulted O'brian with this decision, one I doubt he would have initially agreed with. Surely Sisko could not have ordered him to do so. Maybe an explanation got left on the editing room floor?
2) Who told Dukat that the orphan was on the station? The only air time this question gets is Sisko briefly mentioning it to Dukat. After that, it seems no one cares.

Re: TNG S7: All Good Things...
@William B
Touche on the 20 year perspective gap. I didn't think about that. Ironically, when I was growing up I loved VOY. Watching it now I find it rather painful.
@Elliott
I can agree that TNG had a great finale. In fact, I kinda wish the writers and director of Nemesis had gone back and watched AGT before they whizzed on the franchise. I prefer to take a "Star Wars re-release denier" approach to that and pretend Nemesis never happened... well, except for those cool space battles.
DS9's finale I feel is a tie with AGT. They are both awesome but in different ways. AGT is a feel good-keep-on-adventuring kind of ending, whereas DS9 was darker but offered closure for most all of the characters. I found it satisfying to know where everyone was going at the end. VOY's ending was like picking up your paycheck and then getting mugged.
"What the... wait!!... come back with the real ending!"
I remember being profoundly upset when I watched it on TV.

I like your politician logic Elliott. From now on when I watch VOY I will tell myself every episode is actually half a start better than it actually is. Surely this hype will create a better viewing experience. It'll be so good I'll think I'm watching DS9.

Re: TNG S7: Dark Page
The worst part of this episode is where they save Lwaxana.
Ugh. I would take a Ferrangi episode anyday over any episode with Lwaxana. It's like watching my mother-in-law ruin space.

Re: VOY S1: Eye of the Needle
I have to disagree with Jammer on this one. I actually really enjoyed the episode and thought it was well acted on all accounts, even Janeway (and I'm no fan of Janeway). I've seen a lot of trek and I thought the story was quite fresh and had me mesmerized the whole time. I even got a little misty eyed at the actors doing such a good job getting worked up over the possibility of returning home. Janeway's final line was unexpected and refreshing. She showed the right attitude just when they crew needed to see it. My score 4 stars.

Re: VOY S1: The Cloud
The best part about this episode is Neelix's rant. It was like he read my mind. This is one of the biggest problems I have with VOY as a whole. The constant pointless risk taking and extremely convenient plot lines that seem to encourage even dumber stunts. When you are stranded in the middle of nowhere with limited resources you don't waste them on stupid excursions like... well, like this episode.
It's ironic that the writers included Neelix's rant in the episode. It's like they were acknowledging "Yeah this is a pretty stupid idea but hell we can write some fairies and unicorns into the story and everything will turn out dandy".

Re: TNG S6: Rascals
@ MadBaggins & Elliott. Why are you two even here?
This episode is garbage and I think 2-stars is pretty generous. Two birds of prey (commanded by the entirely inept Ferengi) taking a galaxy class ship. Plus Worf and Data have the worse case of 'delayed reaction syndrome' I've seen. To me these events were even more implausible than the crew becoming kids. Ugh, nothing the episode did after this could have redeemed itself.

Voyager has the best overall cast? *shudder*
Yeah, I guess I won't be playing mass effect...
