Re: PIC S1: Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2

-The grieving scenes between Raffi and Elnor and Seven and Rios really don't have much emotional impact. There's not much emotional connection to these characters or to Picard.

-Social justice/obligatory contemporary gender politics mandates that Seven is a lesbian. Apparently she has no contact these days from anyone on Voyager.

- Is Narek a good guy? Bad guy? Somewhere in between? What happened to him at the end?

- Not clear what the status or what the strength of the Romulan Empire is now. Were those all just Zhat Vash ships? Either way, it looks like the Romulans still have some teeth.

- They couldn't give us a look at the Enterprise E? I was hoping to see it that fleet.

Re: PIC S1: Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 1

Raffi is one of the most worst Star Trek characters ever. She loves Picard? Picard loves her? Give me a break!

Re: PIC S1: The Impossible Box

If you remove the Raffi stuff this would have been a good episode.

Re: PIC S1: Stardust City Rag

Very disappointed that they didn't bring back Brian Brophy as Bruce Maddox. I don't know who that bearded guy was but that was NOT Bruce Maddox.

Are they going to release a good episode this season?

Re: PIC S1: Remembrance

@Bold Helmsman

"Others of us would like to have sci-fi that actually talks about contemporary issues, rather than reveling in some outmoded version of the past that was only a utopia for some people"

Then make your own sci-fi series with non-gender specific holograms and bash the U.S. and nationality sovereignty all you want. Leave Star Trek alone.

Re: TNG S1: Code of Honor

“Liked the 90's vibe to it as well.”

It’s more incredible is they managed a 90s vibe in 1987. What bold prescient visionaries!

Re: TNG S1: Code of Honor

Are you saying Africans are no more than cave people? Shame on you. Code of Honor bothers people who can't accept the reality that Africans built the first civilizations on Earth.

Re: TNG S1: The Last Outpost

As disappointing as the Ferengi themselves are their ship was actually a pretty cool design.

Re: TNG S1: Heart of Glory

Meant to write, "a more secure and practical" area to hold prisoners. You are probably right. A budget issue.

Re: TNG S1: 11001001

Kind of odd that the halodeck only offers cacusian women to Riker.

Re: TNG S1: Code of Honor

@Luke - Lutan did not kidnap Tasha. On his world he exhibited respect and admiration for her. Tasha even admitted she was attracted to him but the episode failed to explore that element of the story.

Re: TNG S2: Shades of Gray

This episode is better than most people give it credit for. It combines elements from previous episodes and form a new unique story which is easy to do. 3 stars from me.

Kind of shameful how this episode equates having dark skin with evil.

TNG could have done something bold here and have Tasha decide to stay with Lutan and come back to Ligon II in a later episode.

Re: TNG S1: Heart of Glory

I never understood why that detention cell seemed to be located at some random spot along a corridor. You would think there would be a more and practical area to hold prisoners.

Re: TNG S1: Code of Honor

A terribly misunderstood and underated episode. Very bold of TNG to show To show that African people can also travel to the stars and establish their own civilizations.

Couldn't they at least have put a pillow under Picard's head while he laid there on the floor of the bridge?

Re: TNG S3: Booby Trap

@Ari Paul - No question that was a subtext of the story. Dr. Brahms appeared to live a very structured, academic life and properly had little time for fun and adventure. Geordi was clever in seducing her first from an engineering problem and thrust it into a more personal situation . It's not wonder Dr. Brahms was not very happy when we saw her in a later episode because she missed what Geordi gave her.

Re: DS9 S3: The Die Is Cast

Why didn't Odo just turn off or smash the device that Garek was using on him? There was a on/off button on it.
