Re: ENT S1: Dear Doctor

Just watched this episode and really enjoyed it. I’m pretty shocked to see so many people that hated it to be quite honest.

One point I’d like to make is how everybody assumes that it was just Archer and Phlox that made the call and that’s that....they file their reports, the information on the cure would be in the database. Basically Starfleet would get the information, and if they disagreed with the outcome they could dispatch envoys no problem.

Re: TNG S1: Conspiracy

This episode by far IMO, should have been a 2-3 part series. When I think back on season 1 this is one of those hidden gems, that made me enjoy TNG as a kid.

Hopefully a future trek will pick up on this show.

Re: DS9 S7: Afterimage

I liked Sisko's comment to Jake about her being "300 years too old for him." A pity, though. I think he would've been a better match for her.

Re: DS9 S6: Valiant

I dunno if them having cadets out on the field is that unlikely. It's been mentioned in previous episodes that they're seriously undermanned. They even had an episode where Martok's ship was only able to receive a third of the reinforcements he had requested. Given that logic, it doesn't strain plausibility that they'd crew a ship with their 'best and brightest' with supervision of competent officers.

After all, Nog himself should still only be a cadet, but he was promoted because it was wartime (and obviously to keep him on the show). I think the funny thing is, though, is how much this episode reminds me of the new Star Trek film. I guess Waters wasn't quite Kirk...

Re: DS9 S6: Sacrifice of Angels

Somehow I think it would have been immensely satisfying to see the Jem'Hadar ships rematerialized somewhere else in the galaxy. Perhaps, for instance, in the middle of Borg space. But maybe that would've been a little over the top.

It would've been nice if there was some acknowledgment of what happened by the Dominion... Bajor's gods are certainly more powerful than the Dominion's.

Re: DS9 S5: Trials and Tribble-ations

The ultimate punchline would've been if an extra had noted Sisko's resemblance to a certain Gabriel Bell. But I suppose they did that with Little Green Men already.

Re: DS9 S3: Through the Looking Glass

Using Rom as the traitor was probably due to reputation. A Ferengi will sell his own mother if it's for a profit, so why not rebels? Him betraying them made more sense than anyone else, except maybe for Dax.
