Re: ENT S4: The Augments

In a previous episode, it was established that Klingon ships do not have escape pods - anyone with a passing familiarity with them would know why.

And yet here we have a Klingon ship with an escape pod.

Re: ENT S4: Cold Station 12

Why does Cold Station 12 have not one but two sealed receptacles big enough for a man to stand in, with the ability to inject airborne pathogens inside of it? Do they test viruses and bugs on live people? Do they put scientists who have been bad inside? Because horror plot.

"Load photonic torpedoes," says T'Pol to Trip, who nods. Over her shoulder in this shot is an extra sitting at the tactical station. Extras are cheap, but cant' speak, but still, they could have had him just nod silently.

I swear Malik deserves to be recognized as The Most Awful Cartoon Villain in Star Trek.

Re: ENT S4: Borderland

When Malik confronts Raakin face to face I hoped that the latter would grab the former's knife and stab him mid-speech, just for a change of pace from the usual cliches.

Always a pleasure to watch Brent Spiner but I can't help but see his performance as a note-for-note rehash of Lore in TNG's Descent.

And why does Archer allow such a dangerous and unpredictable potential enemy within choking range? Because the plot says so.

I keep hearing that the fourth season, which I never managed to get around seeing back in the day, was the best and a sign of good things to come but so far, so meh. Storm Front was just stupid, Home may as well been called "Family", and this one, as Jammer rightfully notes, seems to be a rehash of Space Seed (and TWOK) without the charisma of Ricardo Montablan. But one can hardly expect gravitas and screen presences from a young actor who was seemingly cast solely for his boy band bad boy looks and martial arts ability.

Re: ENT S3: Rajiin

So where does Rajiin get her series of sexy outfits? Maybe there was a deleted scene that explained this:

Rajiin - "Wait, we can't leave!"
Archer - "Why not?"
Rajiin - "I need my sexy outfits!"
Archer - "Seriously?"
Reed - "I think it's worth the risk to go back, sir."
Archer - "You would."
Rajiin - "Please! My powers of seduction are reduced 8% without them!"
Archer - "We'll get you some outfits on the ship"
Rajiin - "But-"
Archer - "We're leaving."

(later, aboard the Enterprise)

Archer - "This is the captain. Would any female crewmembers with sexy outfits, preferrably catsuits, report to the captain's ready room. No, it's not what you think."

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

"The story arc driving the season will be an incident in Starfleet's history that has been referenced but never fully explored. Die-hard fans "should be very happy. It's something I want to see," Fuller said."

For some reason, Garth of Izar popped into my mind.
