Re: TOS S3: The Lights of Zetar
This is the first episode of TOS I ever saw back in 1968. I thought it was well written and not as outlandish as Lost in Space which was popular at the time. I became a fan with this episode.

Make it so.

Re: TOS S2: I, Mudd
TOS usually got the humor aspect spot on. This episode shows it. "A Piece of the Action" was funnier though.

Re: TOS S2: The Apple
Not the worst episode but close. I find it hard to watch. So predictable is the reason why.

Re: TOS S3: Turnabout Intruder
A good not great episode. The Shat pulls this off very well without going over the line. Not an easy thing to do. Spock is pretty awesome in this episode too. Showing his loyalty to Kirk.

Re: TOS S3: The Savage Curtain
C'mon. Not the best of TOS but the idea is still way above the tripe that passes for science fiction nowadays. Very imaginative.

Re: TOS S3: Plato's Stepchildren
A top ten episode. I especially like the scenes featuring Kirk and Alexander. Also the way Spock and Bones work together to reason out the way the power is acquired. The "kiss" is overrated as a part of this episode.

Re: TOS S3: The Tholian Web
I love this one. Spock and McCoy at their best without "The Shat". These episodes should be taken on their own and not linked to each other like a lot of fans try to do. Taken on their own they are still the best SF ever on television.

Re: TOS S2: Wolf in the Fold
Terrible first half of this episode gives way to gripping ending. A spooky concept of mass murderer as an alien that moved out into space with man.

Re: TOS S2: The Immunity Syndrome
Another great concept in this episode. The Enterprise being the anti- body of the universe. Highlighting the relationship of the characters very well.

Re: TOS S2: The Doomsday Machine
An episode I never get tired of watching. Top five in the the series.

Re: TOS S3: Requiem for Methuselah
My favorite personal episode. Only for the concept of a being like Flint who has lived through so much history. Being immortal is the human dream and nightmare. James Daly was great casting.

Re: TOS S3: Spectre of the Gun
Easily a top five episode. Combines the surreal with actual historical fact. Spock is at his analytical best. Kirk gives a serious subdued performance. Scotty and Bones are totally in their great characters. Checkov too!
