Re: VOY S7: Body and Soul
What a truly terrible episode, I really don't get all the comments supporting Jammer's review. The premise was utterly absurd, granted Ryan is a fantastic actress and her portrayal of the Doctor was superb. But that doesn't make up for the appalling plot.

Also, the Holodeck safeties were on until the characters shot the arch with the shotgun... But how was that able to happen when at that point the safeties were on, they shouldn't be able to cause the damage because of the very safety protocols they supposedly damage.

The most ludicrous thing to me is why Harry would use his "replicator rations" to replicate a real bunch of flowers to take to the Holodeck for a holographic character.

Re: VOY S5: Course: Oblivion
At the start of the episode, they were only 2 years from Earth and a "straight course" to the Milky Way. At the end of the episode the ship is destroyed and the real Voyager turns up to discover the wreckage. So not the real Voyager is also only 2 years from getting home all of a sudden?

Re: VOY S5: Nothing Human
The moral dilemma is frankly absurd. You'd have to throw virtually the entirety of existing medical knowledge that we have today if you ignored anything obtained through the suffering of other patients that previous medical researchers have experimented on. You can't just refuse or ignore scientific fact because of how it was obtained. You can strive to do things better in the future, and even pursue the guilty medical professionals and bring them to justice. But to ignore their findings once that knowledge exists is simply ludicrous.

Re: VOY S4: Hope and Fear
Sure Janeway allowed assisted the Borg in destroying species 8472, but they had pledged to "purge the Galaxy" so it's hardly surprising that she would opt to do that. The Borg might be a formidable foe, but given how easily species 8472 was able to destroy them. I know who'd I'd opt to take my chances against.... Besides, if you're not aggressive towards the Borg apparently they ignore you... Unless it suits the plot otherwise!
Also, after Artuis had flicked the lever to uncloak or remove the Starfleet camouflage on his ship, did anyone not find it odd that after Janeway and Seven escaped the (very Starfleet looking) brig, all the controls in engineering were still running on LCARS panels?

Re: VOY S4: The Killing Game
There are so many questions raised by these episodes, but here's one... How does a holographic explosion destroy the walls of the Holodeck? Okay, so the safeties are off, but if that's the reason, then every time you disabled the Holodeck safeties you'd destroy the ship and seeing as you can't see the "real world" you'd have no idea what it was you were actually hitting.

Re: VOY S2: Basics, Part I
What I found ridiculous was the conversation in the meeting room regarding holographic projectors being impossible, and the Doctor countering that with the fact that they would only be very basic holograms, not capable of projecting something as complex as his matrix into space. Something which Bellana states they can't even do on the ship. Yet later on, exactly the thing they said would be impossible is done when the Doctor is sent out into space...
