Re: LD S2: We'll Always Have Tom Paris

That Shax return was some missed opportunity. I was really expecting him to be an imposter and because everyone was afraid to ask him, no one found out. Could have been a season long arc.

And him being the resurrected Shax cheapens season one finale ...

Re: ENT S1: The Andorian Incident

That's tactical stupidity throughout the episode.

How about leaving as if nothing happened and then come back with force? And not rush the one enemy hiding without knowing more?

And two Starfleet officers can't overpower a guy who turns his back to them?

And what about the element of surprise? There shouldn't have to be a fight after three more beamed down with a bag full of weapons ...

Re: DSC S3: Terra Firma, Part 2

If they want to make a section 31 show (I hope they don't), then why did they make Georgiou soft and peace loving? Those are not the character traits for a S31 operative ...

Georgiou should have given her live for the crew in some kind of disaster. This would have earned them the last scene.

Re: TOS S1: The Conscience of the King

What does Lenore mean by this in the scene in the ship's theater?

KIRK: You'll never get off the ship.
LENORE: It will become a floating tomb, drifting through space with the soul of the great Karidian giving performances at every star he touches.

It sounds like she has done something to harm the Enterprise, but then this is not mentioned again.

Re: ORV S2: A Happy Refrain

There were more extras in this one episode than in the whole season 7 of TNG.

Re: ORV S2: Nothing Left on Earth Excepting Fishes

In "Mirror, Mirror" the evil versions of the Enterprise crew were found out almost instantly, because while a normal person can play a barbarian, a barbarian can not play a normal person.

How can a Krill play a convincing lover for a human?

(And without knowing the name of the actress I was pretty sure at the end of S2E1 that she was a fake or a trap. Just because that was too easy for Mercer)

But the second half I had no problems with. To me it seems Teleya actually liked Mercer but couldn't admit it without betraying her culture.

Re: DSC S1: What's Past Is Prologue

The !Lorca was no MU barbarian, at least not in all the episodes leading to this one. He was morally grey (or at least more grey than others) but still a good (enough) Starfleet captain.
Spock said that he detected !Kirk at once because he behaved like a barbarian. Can a barbarian play the part of a good person? I don't think so - and that's why I was disappointed when we found out there is nothing behind !Lorca, just a pretty simple lust for power.

Oh and I feel compelled to add to the climate discussion the following XKCD comic: (Earth Temperature Timeline for the last 20.000 years)

Re: DSC S1: The Wolf Inside

Some seemed to have missed that Tyler/Voq wanted to die ("She should have let me die").
I guess he is still torn between both sides and can't live with it, so he attacked, first MU-Voq and then Bernham, to be killed.

Re: DSC S1: The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry

There's a typo:

"Saru told Burnham he would do a better job protecting Lorca than he did Georgiou"

"she", because actually he said: "I intent to do a better job protecting my captain than you did yours"
(which is not a nice thing to say, because Georgiou died beaming into a hostile ship with just another person, a not so wise move on her part ...)

I just had a thought: Voq has to give up everything if he follows L'Rell's plan. Does this include looking like a Klingon and will this explain their future human like look?

Re: Site Version 7.0 (2016)

Hi Jammer,

would it be possible to remove the background-image from the comment boxes?
I found the text a little hard to read on my monitor, so I tried to disable it.

Something I liked:

line-height: 1.45em;

#commentsearchbox, #comments .commentbox

border: 1px #444 solid;
border-radius: 5px;
background-color: rgba(0, 2, 53, 1);

Re: TNG S6: Relics

I am not so sure about this "miracle worker" thing: Did Scotty really overestimate the repair time on purpose during TOS?

I always thought that idea came from parodies ...

And I've been watching the BR commentary on this episode: Initially, Ronald D. Moore had written an even more distanced crew, but the actors thought their characters would like Scotty. Since he's the engineer of the crew that saved the Federation many times, I'm sure every Starfleet cadet would have read about him as often.

Re: TNG S2: The Schizoid Man

I was a bit disappointed when Deanna didn't solve the puzzle. I was so sure at first that she suspected - because she had shown Data-Graves images of Tasha and Kareen and the reaction to both should have been an obvious sign.

Re: TNG S5: Cause and Effect

I always thought that the Bozeman didn't have any deja vues because the time she repeated was too short. There isn't much happening between leaving the rift and colliding with the Enterprise
