Re: VOY S7: Body and Soul

Crappy episode...
Many people are celebrating an abuse.
It is supposed to be funny but looking at it, it is just a from of abuse.
Seven was never asked to do these things and was totally against them.
The doc once again is an egomanic not taking anyone's feelings into account. Which is the one thing he is always accusing others of.
Oh and by the way abuse is what seven calls it...I did not have to find a strong word here.

Since they got the doc's emitter there had been no need to accommodate him in seven... Still...the solution of a merger of the two is preferred.

I will never get why people forgive the doc's transgressions... As if it was just funny and charming.

Re: VOY S7: Unimatrix Zero, Part II

Agree to much of what has been said here. Being a star trek fan but not really convinced of Voyager I am maybe more prone to criticism.

The plot is a high mess.

Self assimilation... Ridiculous. What were the odds of survival? The Borg were the greatest enemy and assimilation certainly meant something comparable to a death sentence.

Developing a virus just like that? Ok we have seen something similar in TNG but nothing that simple and linked to a crazy plan.

Borg queen threatening janeway with destroying the Borg? Be my guest...

Why are the Borg so weak? They were the archenemy
Of the federation... And now? Voyager alone can fight the hardcore steel coated cube??? In what reality??

But tuvok's access codes were not invalidated when he was assimilated? Noob mistake. But then... That is the Voyager crew... Can't think for 50cents.

So let me ask you... Where these drones really worth it strategically???

Re: VOY S6: Virtuoso

1.5 stars

And again another f***ed Up episode with am egotistical doctor who is way over his head and disrespect his friends and the Voyager crew who have mostly supported him even though legally and technically he should not have any rights at all. Piece of equipment and data file. Like a sub routine developed personality and was given equal rights.

The doc talks of love and being appreciated... Both has been experienced by him before. But again he forgets. Is ungrateful...

He is sort of a star fleet officer. Though not in rank, he is part of the crew with certain rights but also duties.i really doubt that essential personal of a sort of military organization (as is Starfleet) would ever be allowed to quit for personal gain. Certainly not a captain. Security office. Engineer and certainly not the doctor.
What is more to this is that he would deliberately risk his colleagues lives to sing... To sing 🤣🤣🤣!!! How ridiculous once again.
But probably I am alone in this.

Re: VOY S6: Blink of an Eye

Two stars.

Again a very promising plot that was not exploited by the writers...

Plus my criticism:
Why aren't they the most advanced species after 5 minutes?
Why has the doc a son? Why is this not elaborated in more detail?
Why again did the doc not simply stay an observer... Why did he as a hologram feel the need for procreation?
Why doesn't he ever mention his son again? Not even visiting him? Trying to tell him who his father is etc?

Why do the aliens shoot at Voyager and have tricobald missiles... But don't even send another ship? Then... They have the best technology, send two ships with tractor beams that save Voyager...

Daniel D Kim sits as an oldan... And has never visited voayger again although this wouldn't have been a problem...

Re: VOY S6: Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy

Hey you guys.
Thought as a viewer of all Star trek shows and movies I also left a comment.

In general, I totally disagree with most of you here who say this is a great episode...
The plot works. The jokes are mostly good and the idea of wrapping it up this way is fine.

HOWEVER, ever since season 3 or so the doctor has become a nuisance. He is never satisfied. Constantly complains. He is arrogant by considering himself to be more capable, better and superior to the rest of the crew.
This is clearly taken to the next level here ( and will be in several later episodes). A command hologram taking over??? Why not make him full time captain of Voyager instead. I am sure these incompetent hjumaaans will make room for the new generation of holograms. Even better. No more humans in space. No human decision making. No human admiralty. And while we are at it, and since holograms are superior in so many ways and man cannot match them, they should form the top of evolution and man becomes second class.

Guys...seriously? Have you ever thought of how equality for holograms will end? Or at least what happens if we let the doctor's blown up ego continue being delusional?

Ladies and gentleman please don't clap your hands because you will kill some bacteria.

Re: DS9 S7: Shadows and Symbols

@Lt. Fitz
You have to keep in mind one thing about the Prophets: they do not experience the passage of time. For them, the first encounter with Sisko, Sarah's "possession" and everything up until Sisko's final encounter, all happen simultaneously for the Prophets.

In fact, the only reason they experience a "first contact" with Sisko in the pilot, is because of their interaction with his point-of-view.
