Re: DS9 S5: Soldiers of the Empire

I LOVED this episode ! I have to disagree with Jammer on this review...I though getting to ride along with the Klingons was great, the story's finale with the knife fight was great...my only complaint ? We didnt see the final fight or the crew of the B'moth get rescued...

Re: VOY S7: Repentance

I am pro capital punishment if the circumstances warrant and the evidence is irrefutable. Having said that I thought this was a very good episode. It brought up several issues, such as Seven's time with the Borg assimilating others, and the likelihood of Iko from mental illness due to a birth defect. The episode rang true for me...including the bit with Neelix and the other prisoner..

Re: VOY S7: Lineage

I enjoyed this one a lot. Voyager wasnt supposed to be a show about "relationships". Im glad that they changed their mind with this episode, it was a great hour. ANd Ive read through a lot of comments about TOm and B'Lanna not having any on-screen chemistry...I think this episode proves that they do...

Re: VOY S7: Shattered

I LOVED this one ! Finally an entertaining Chakotay show...maybe it was like a clip show but a really entertaining one. I would give this 3 stars easily. There seem to be so many reviewers here that dont like the show much...if so WHY WATCH IT ?

Re: VOY S7: Flesh and Blood

Not too bad. It was a nice action packed adventure with a lot of stuff that made me like it less than Jammer did. I get why Janeway chooses to go after the holograms though it would have been a lot easier to walk away and let the Hirogen deal with it.

Why are we still dealing with the Hirogen after all these years ?

Doc pulls a fast one that puts everyone at risk, and he isnt punished or reprogrammed ? (I wouldnt want him to be reprogrammed either, but its what makes sense here...)

Re: VOY S7: Nightingale

And I thought the Icheb B story was kind of cute...Jammer missed her reaction in the form of a wry smile when she agreed to not see him again :)

Re: VOY S7: Nightingale

I didnt mind this episode in the least. Not great stuff but a welcome Kim driven show. The character of Harry Kim has been hamstrung up to this point by writing that keeps him as Ensign Naive. He always struck me as competent just not given the chance to shine often being outshone by other characters. I like this episode as an"ok" one.

The words of wisdom spouted from Seven concerning Harry's "command" should really have come from Neelix. He is the one with the introspection necessary to have made those somments in a useful fashion...as much as I like Seven, those comments didnt seem right coming from her. She looks better in tight clothes than Neelix and that is always good for ratings...

Re: VOY S7: Body and Soul

I loved this episode !!! Jeri Ryan captures so much of the Doc's body language and mannerisms, she's quite an actor !

Funniest moment: The Doctor's darting eyes as if looking for an excuse when Seven accuses him of becoming sexually aroused while in her body...COMEDY GOLD !

Re: VOY S7: Critical Care

As a nurse in the United States, this episode rang very true for me. For those interpreting this episode's hospital as socialized medicine, should reconsider. This is definitely an allegory to American healthcare. If your wealthy or otherwise have clout then you dont have much to worry about (We have great health care...if you can afford it) If you dont...dont get sick. If your illnesses costs more than your insurer is willing to cover...they do have legal ways of denying coverage that would disgust you.

On the other hand this was a great episode....a great laugh with Tuvok and Janeway holding hands. Jammer thinks that this episode ended anticlimactically with no real resolution...guess what ? Its the logical place an allegory to the US system would end to...The Supreme Court will rule in a few days on the legality of Obamacare, 11 years after this episode aired...

Re: VOY S7: Repression

Oh and as Jammer points out, just how underused are any Tuvok led stories that when we get one as awful as this...makes ti worse that it is...

Re: VOY S7: Repression

Absolutely awful. The kind of bad, poorly written and realized episode that seems to have haunted all of Voyager's 7 seasons. By this time I had thought the really poor episodes would have been a thing of the past...On par with "Threshold", The Fury" & "Spirit Folk".

Re: VOY S7: Imperfection

A great and wonderful episode, I enjoyed seeing a lot of the emotional side of the characters. Great acting by the young man playing "Icheb". The only comment I mirror Jammer on...why are we AGAIN heading off to see the Borg ? Other than that (very small point) This is one reason I watch the show, for great moments like the ones presented...

There are a lot of complaints about the Captain NOT stripping the Borg cube...how do you know she didnt ? The story moved to the Borglets and Seven, as it should have...

Re: VOY S6: Memorial

I liked this one. Im a little disturbed by some of the reactions above...if you dont like the show why do some of you keep watching it ? Especially after its been off the air for so long...it isnt going to get better. Wouldnt it be better to bash the show a few times and then go watch something you actually like ? I thought everyone was good in this. Loved the 50's furniture in Tom's room and Neelix finally getting a few lines...

Re: VOY S6: Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy

Probably one of my favorite episodes of Voyager so far...maybe even all Trek.

@Just Another Trekkie/RE: SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME..I felt that 7 realized the Dr's feelings for her...but let him know her own in the holodeck, granted she was very subtle...but by declaring desire to not bother with dating, she included him...and he sadly, realized it...making it all the more heartbreaking...

Re: VOY S6: Riddles

I just saw this one...honestly I nearly cried. I thought this was a GREAT story. I loved how Neelix and Tuvok bonded...and I realized Tim Russ' range as an actor...He does incredibly well with such sparse material seeing this makes me want to see more of his acting...I give this one 3 maybe 3.5 stars...

Re: VOY S6: Equinox, Part II

This was one of my favorite two parters...There were some weird plot holes but overall great. Janeway losing it was a nice touch and I agreed with her choices..and I understood Chakotay's as well.

The scene with evil Doc singing with 7 ? I think it was inspired...It made Capt. Ransom realize just what he had become, made 7 look very vulnerable, and gave us an ugly view of what the Doc minus morality might look like...Well done. I have a feeling we wont be seeing any more of the Equinox crew in upcoming episodes, but they would make some interesting story material to be sure...

Re: VOY S6: Survival Instinct

A good episode...I enjoyed seeing the Doc and 7 interact again this time on the nature of "life". There werent any easy answers that technobabble could solve which made me enjoy this one all the more.. I also enjoyed the peaceful civilization they contact...I think Voyager really should be encountering hostiles through much of their journey, but its good for them to get a break now and then. Also nice to see Naomi Wildman's scenes with 7...

Re: VOY S5: Infinite Regress

I enjoyed Jeri Ryan's acting in this one. She doesnt portray all of the roles perfect (Her Vulcan falls flat) but she manages quite well with the others. I like this one. Species 6339's reasoning makes a lot of sense as well...

Re: VOY S5: Once Upon a Time

I enjoyed this episode, because we get to see someone other than the usual "Senior Officers" at work. I also liked the character of Naomi Wildman. I found the holodeck characters interesting, a great look at what life in the Federation is like aside from The Bridge, Engineering or the Mess Hall...

I would have liked to have seen more episodes with Naomi and her mother...it would have added a different view to what the Voyager crew was going through...
