Re: DS9 S7: It's Only a Paper Moon

This was a 4 star for me, not just for the episode but for your review. I really enjoy reading everyone else's too. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who appreciated it on many levels.

This was one of the best minor stories in Star Trek history. It gave consequence to war, showed us a realistic development of a person (Nog), humanized otherwise comic relief characters (Lita/Nog) and flirted with philosophical thoughts of what it means to be sentient (Vic).

This episode should be a template for any episodic tv series and a blueprint for making side quests in a role playing video game. This totally gave me a Witcher 3 quality feel, wonderful stuff!

I gotta tell ya,I lost it when Nog started crying, that was so powerful. I love DS9 so much!

Re: DS9 S7: Take Me Out to the Holosuite

This is such a charming episode, regardless of when you watch it, as baseball is such a big part of Sisko's identity. The importance of the baseball symbol on his desk was never more poignant whem he left it behind after they abondoned the station and Dukat made a point about Ben leaving it behind, knowing he intends to return.

There's plenty of comedy gold here, especially Worf's lines. I always enjoy seeing the crew outside their element and I particularly recall being impressed by Dax's chest, that solidified my crush on her back then lol. The gorgeous Terri Farrell was irreplaceable until this episode

The onky thing that bothered me was Bashir not being a great hitter, doesn't he have enhanced hand eye coordination? I would like to have seen Worf crack one out of the park too, or bulldoze a Vulcan after Kira git run over.

I especially liked the reason behind Sisko's rivalry and was happy he won this round by not actually winning, I didn't want a might Ducks thing

All in all, wonderfully fun episode!

Re: DS9 S6: His Way

I loved this episode

I have a broken leg and have been binging all of DS9, while finishing Voyager and Enterprise, which I never could when it was on tv initially.

I have been saving this series for a second rewatching since it aired, so I've forgotten the many twists and turns. While Picard is my fav Captain, DS9 was my fav series, with its dark and intriguing Dominion war and cast of many memorable characters.

Vic is right up there as one of my fav characters,as he was able to take the crew out of their element, especially for another fav, the ever guarded Odo.

I'm a grown freaking man and this episode made me tear up in happiness for our friendly shapeshifter. Maybe it's like the equally guarded Picard dropping a tear in front of Data while he was abducted by the Borg, or crying in the arms of his brother, the vulnerability of Odo really got to me.

It's not easy to do a romance amongst so much technobabble, but this was more than story about love and relations, it was an evolution of Odo.

My words can't do it justice, but like the Dax and Worf love episode a few shows ago, DS9 really nailed this.

P.s.I love these reviews and their comments. I've read each one after every episdoe since the beginning of season 5 and wanted to chime in, thank you!
