Re: TNG S2: Where Silence Has Lease
They make a big deal of Data searching the records to see if any starship has encountered such a void in space before, and Data reports no instances of one. Guess Data never saw "The Immunity Syndrome".

Re: DS9 S5: In Purgatory's Shadow
I guess I go back to Odo's 'When I become a rock, you scan a rock.' When a Changling becomes a solid I figure they copy them, brain patterns , memories, and knowledge et al. So Changling Bashir would have the knowledge to cause the life threatening symptoms when he saw Sisko having visions that would potentially expose their plans, and then alter the Captain's brain so that he stops getting them. I forget, was there anyone who challenged his diagnosis, or did everyone (except Sisko, of course) just take Changling Bashir's word for it that Sisko would die if left untreated?

Re: DS9 S5: In Purgatory's Shadow
I had always figured that Changling Bashir had created the headache spasms to keep Sisko from foretelling the Dominion/Cardassian alliance.
Also that Changling Bashir had a hand in the baby Changling arriving as to analyze Odo's reactions.

Re: DS9 S4: Accession
Dusty asks, 'On the bright side, what happened to Keiko? Sure she's still a bad actress, but her character was actually decent in this episode. No whining, no sniping at Miles or making him feel bad for missing Julian. Seems very unusual for her. xD'
I figured she was finally happy finding a purpose in life.
Best exchange in my opinion -
Quark: Mr Worf, did you hear? Keiko's having another baby.
Worf: Now??!!?? (Remembering the events of TNG's "Disaster".)

Re: TNG S5: Ethics
Interestingly I happenend to watch this episode on BBC America the same day I watched DS9's "Sons of Morg" on DVD. Picard is seeing the death ritual from Worf's POV, while Sisko in no unsure terms refuses to allow Worf to assist his brother's suicide.

Re: DS9 S4: Little Green Men
A very fun episode. I just wish the producers had let them do the final twist in that was in the original presentation.
All along we see one officer in the background who is just observing everything. In the last shot one of the main characters looks to him and says, "Lt Roddenberry, you have seen nothing that has gone on today. Do you understand?" "Yes, Sir!" Then a tracking close up on him as we see him start to get the idea to create a Sci Fi series...

Re: DS9 S3: Family Business
I don't mind the Ferengi episodes as much as I cringe from NextGen episodes when Picard and Riker basically say "Ewwwwww! Ferengis. Who let that thing on board?"

Re: TOS S1: This Side of Paradise
I love the way DeForrest Kelly says 'Ennerpriiiise' when calling the ship. Used it as a ringtone for awhile.

Re: TNG S1: The Neutral Zone
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it, but isn't it convenient that Riker answered the page using the room's comm unit instead of his communicator, just so the guests could later get on the comm and annoy Picard.
One thing I do give the episode props for...the bit about TV going out of style seems visionary from a show about 8 years away from the popularity of the Internet itself, and about 10 years away from YouTube and DVRs

Re: TOS S1: The Menagerie
As for The Menagerie, I always felt Pike didn't want to go to Talos at the beginning of the episode because he didn't want Spock to risk facing the death penalty.

Re: TOS S1: The Naked Time
The reason for the time travel non sequitur at the end of Naked Time was that the episodes Naked Time and Tomorrow is Yesterday were originally written as a two part episode. The decision was made to make them two seperate episodes, so NT got the non sequitur and TiY got the Enterprise hitting a black star.
It looks extremly cheesy and fake now, but I remember as a kid being freaked out at the scene in Charley X in which Charley removes the face of the laughing crewwoman.
