Re: Star Trek: Nemesis
I saw this film via PSN, yet unlike the other Trek films, you couldn't rent this one, so I had to buy it, which makes me believe that to this day, the film still hasn't made a big profit 12 years later, so Paramount made it so that buying it was the only option.
And... *sigh*
OK, I will admit, the film had me at first. The set-up of the main threat was nice, and it was all fairly enjoyable stuff. I could even overlook the dune buggy chase.
Until we actually first saw Shinzon.
From that point onwards, everything all goes downhill. The villain is an absolute moron (if you haven't got long to live, why all that waiting?!), the TNG characters don't act the way they usually do, the music is mostly forgettable, the effects (minus the admittedly impressive collision scene) have somehow gotten WORSE than the previous TNG films despite costing more to make and coming out in 2002, that Troi mindrape scene is quite possibly the worst scene in anything related to Star Trek, and the story as a whole felt like a horrible Star Trek fanfic (which was written by John Logan who is apparently a big Trek fan) that somehow got a budget.
This is tied with The Motion Picture as my pick for the worst Trek film. TMP was boring beyond belief, Nemesis was wretched.
Makes me appreciate the Abrams films even more.

Re: DS9 S1: If Wishes Were Horses
I watched this episode on Syfy recently, and it was weird.
What stuck out to me though was the part where it was revealed that there was no danger in the first place.
My reaction was "Uh, what?!"

Re: Star Trek: Generations
Having literally just seen this film, I can say this:
I enjoyed it, but admittedly, it could have been much better.

Re: Star Trek: The Motion Picture
I saw this film recently as it was the only TOS film I hadn't seen.
I wish I still hadn't, I HATE this film.
The characterization is way off (Everyone except Kirk is boring, and Kirk himself is a right prick), the effects aren't anything that great, the story wasn't interesting to me in the slightest, the music (aside from the theme) just blends together, the costumes are ridiculously bad (the Federation wearing pajamas) and worst of all, it's dull, boring and has nothing fun about it whatsoever.
I'd rather watch Star Trek 5 than watch this film again.

Re: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
This film is (IMO) the best Guilty Pleasure ever!
It's so bad (laughable effects, silly story) I got a huge amount of entertainment out of it.
Also, Final Frontier also has some legitimately good parts. I like the scenes with Kirk, Spock & Bones interacting (such good chemistry with one another) and Jerry Goldsmith's music is also very enjoyable.
The WORST scene though is the Uhura dance. Ugh... I'm sure Nichelle Nichols is a nice woman, but that scene was so icky I NEVER want to see it again.

Re: ENT S1: Detained
Me and my dad watched this episode recently, and for the most part, it was a good episode.
But the ending. Christ, the ending. It sucked!
What happened? Did the prisoners escape to the stars? Where did they go? Did they get destroyed? We don't know!

Re: TNG S3: Sarek
Could you imagine if Worf ended up losing his temper due to Sarek?
The poor sod who crossed him wouldn't live to tell the tale.

Re: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
I don't mind this film as much as most others do. But if I ever end up watching this again, I'm skipping the Uhura dance scene never to see it again. Ugh...
