Re: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

Yeah, how about them gin joints......made me queasy....ugh.

One of Shatner's daughters was in this one. When Capt K goes to the bridge and see the mess....she walks up to him.

Luckinbill married Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball.

I felt ashamed for Nichelle doing that stupid fan dance. And the powers that be used another singer's recording of the song Nichelle had recorded. That hurt her.

The best actor was the tall scary scary Klingon with the afro. I really liked him. I also expected more from him that I got in the movie.

Re: Star Trek III: The Search For Spock

The elderly man calling out over the airwaves [with the Capt looking over his shoulder] was played by the man who was the transporter [chief] in the 1960's Trek.

Rand is in the movie, at the beginning the red haired woman is shown looking despaired at the damaged Enterprise. Grace Lee Whitney was in the 'side lines' of these movies......she was in Voyager when Tuvok went back in time in his mind........we also see Sulu......

Bebe Besch died in 1996 after a long battle with cancer and that could be one of the many reasons she did not return....and what kind of role would she have had? An older woman running around a blowing-up planet is stupid. AND REAL actors like to have meaty roles and what could she have done in this movie?

Re: TNG S1: Too Short a Season

August 6, 2021 I find this ep horrible. I never liked it. AND, Picard won't stand up to a crazy murderer who waits until the end of his own life to demand the death of man who only did what he had demanded. The Admiral was right in giving the opposing side weapons. Why? Because the crazy guy only wanted to wipe out a people that his own father was trying to wipe out.

If this planet is in the Federation, it should be kicked out.

Why do the Klingons hate Worf so much.?? They are always framing him for atrocious murders such as this big fat blowhard is doing in this episode.

Do you know what a chimera is? Evil.

My belief is that Laas was sent to find Odo and take him back to the foundling lair. He knows too much to have been alone forever. He is insulting to Odo ans well as everybody else ........ that is a clue that he is from the pool of butterscotch caramel goo.

Re: TNG S3: The Best of Both Worlds, Part I

Oh yeah! Miss Shelby is a hot shot! Hot shot s get you killed.

The old man done been in her no-no place and promised her Riker's job for it. Sound familiar?

If you pay attention you will seeeeeeee her mess up big time. She does not ask for permission to leave the ship on her "I got it sll and I'm ahead of you" and the idiots that follow her did not have the sense to tell on her. She had no authority on the Enterprise........BUT the old man that put her on the ship told her to run hog wild and show Picard how hot she was to get Riker's job. AND PICARD WAS A STUPID IDIOT IN THIS EP.

Re: DS9 S6: Time's Orphan

TIME'S ORPHAN IS ON NOW AND I still have not changed my mind
about it' in fact, I feel worse about it.

Never cry! No way would I cry about this ridiculous mess. Yeah, mess. No heartbreak. I feel sorry for Yoshi crying his heart out for his parents. (it reminds of the crying baby and babies in THE GODFATHER. That really grates on my nerves when those movies come on t.v. During Dec. 2019 and Jan. 2020 they were run a big bunch.

As for torture of Miles.....,I am fed up because all his stories are about him being beaten up, he can really make some painful faces when people wrench his arms and shoulders. That hurts me.

Kira says she wants a baby, that has not got one thing to do with Odo not being human so he can be a Dad. She feels the motherhood "bug", etc.

And Worf did no raise Alexander because he did not know about the boys birth until Kaylar brought him to the Enterprise in TNG.
Then Worf did the best he could later on ........ if he had not carried on and on about the Klingon foolishness he woul;d have done better. YOU DO SEE OR HEAR ANY KLINGON'S BLABBERING ABOUT THE IDIOCY WORF BELIEVES. tHEY PROBABLY DON'T CARE BECAUSE WHAT WORF WANTS WENT ON
CENTURIES BEFORE MODERN KLINGONS.

Now, YANKS Wed. 8-20-2014 explained how Molly gets back and I can finally understand it after all these years.

Thanks for time.

YES!!!!! Jake needs a baby sitter! This boy is always in trouble. AND L'ana (can"t spell it} should be killed. She is so old and just because she is alien does not mean she ought to be pregnant.

New hubby is following the path of the ancient Spartans. Look it up.

Ms. Troi is just using poor, dumb Odo. I have a hard time believing he is so stupid.

Re: DS9 S2: The Collaborator

BBC AMERICA is running DS9 now.

Winn always makes me angry because she is so grasping and a liar. She brings Kubis in to lie about Bariel and Kira is her ususal oh so HOLY self and she turns on Bariel because of their lies.

AND, thru the entire years on t.v. no one ever finds out what a savage criminal Winn is! She deserved her ending IN hell fire in WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND.

The Bajoran people were just ignorant when it came to their leaders.

Where does the idiocy that THE people vote a Kai into office? What if all Catholics could vote in the Pope? That would be a mess.

Bariel should have given up on Kira as a lover.

Oh. as for Kubis: Winn knew exactly who to go to in order to get help for ruining Bariel. Even though Opaka was the guilty party, I betcha that Winn knew all about it.

HOT SHOT! Yeah!!!!!!! We just need them hot shotses-gals to show Riker how it is DONE!!! Watch these two eps and apply sense.....if you run head long into hell you'll get blown out of the universe. I would loved to have seen a scene with Shelby and a borg and better yet, the borg queen (tho' she had not been thought of to this date).....none of that you will be assimilated ...that borg would have torn her crappy head off and stick down her open neck!

Re: DS9 S2: Playing God

Jadzia took over from Curzon....it's that hunk of plastic animal that took over Jadzia ... is making her perform the way he made Curzon perform. GET DRUNK AND HAVE WILD SEX WITH THE UNIVERSE. That little creature is not worth fooling with. It uses people to have fun.

What Arjin did not know was that Curzon wanted to have sex with our Jadzia and to heck with training her to carry a symbiont etc etc .....that is the reason he kicked her out of the class.

I hate Arjin; firstly he does not have what it takes to handle higher education. In fact, as with that creep In INVASIVE blah blah, he just wants to be able to brag that he has a symbiont. Same with the murdering musician. On the planet Trill one can thrust out ones chest and shout "I got a symbiont and you don't.......!" That is why Trill's want to carry one in their chest....it is a status symbol!!!

As for the universe......that could never happen.

I keep messing up, excuse me, just mentally make corrections, please.

Re: TNG S2: Up the Long Ladder

I don't care how ya'll feel about this episode, I like it. Just above me Ari Paul says Riker "murdered" -- NO, would you want some "crazy" stealing your cells and cloning them? I would not. They were not "people" -- it is not murder.

It is now all those years later and we all know so much more about INSANE people......The man that took these people into the universe to go back to the before Christ era's only wanted to play God. LIKE JIM JONES. ** Spinning wheels? Would you ladies want to go back to that? Not me. What all that means is that he wanted to rule a crowd of humans and have sex with countless women and little girls just like JIM JONES. Naturally, the guy died as did all the forebears of what was left of the colony. The other colony? Just imitations of humans. Who cares.

Viewer's don't realize that every one of these people has stagnated. They listened to a crazy man and went into space for the wrong reasons. They were already stupid so I wonder how any one of them could learn to fly a ship?

As for Riker getting it on with Brenna, these people would have a lot of diseases whereas the Enterprise crew would be sterile of disease ...... they would have run out of medicines two centuries ago. They were uneducated so they would not be able to exist any other way than to recede back into cave-man-style living. Pitiful.

As for all the crap about telling women to have multiple sexual partners, that is exactly what happened after the worst of the European plague came to pass...the DNA had to be diversified so offspring would not be GAGA down the future.....you see, most of the people had children with their own kinsmen, forget marriage. Think about it. THAT IS WHY WE ALL HAVE A TWIN SOMEWHERE ON THIS EARTH!!

The writers are not stupid, they are well educated, learned men and women. If that were so, they would not be writing for t.v. or movies.

The Samarian Snare came before, I like it too. The Pakled's are funny as whatever.

Must add this because I am not going to go to those episodes and comment. It is a farce that Earth only has two doctor's who can do successful surgery on critical patients. When Worf injured his spine...the doc brought in could not fullfil the job. Crusher had to spring into action and do it. Wait!, Picard is near death and Pulaski is rushed over to wherever to save his life. That man (doctor) should have been kicked out of the medical service. Back to Crusher, Beverly berated the lady doc so much and made countless threats so it is no wonder she could not FIX Worf. AND! Crusher was against this kind of surgery to begin with!

Re: TNG S5: Conundrum

Gotta do the end first: think this, one of the comical XENA eps when Xena was laughing about some antic....HO HO HO AHH HAH etc., don't remember which one it was......that is what you should all do when viewing Ro and Riker in one another's clutches even though they actually hate each other. I truly enjoyed that and even more so when they found out what they did during their idiocy moments. Once again, it was due to the way they disliked each other.

No way that Troi would ever be capable of beating Data at chess or any other game or whatever. That is malarky.

As for Guinan, I believe Whoopi Goldberg had already left TNG. Not sure of that but I am not going to look it up.

SOOOO. McDuff is just a duff/crap, If he had so much ability to rip our guys apart AND disable Data too, why could he have not build viable ships and weapons and go kill off the Lysian's in the first place, hmmmmmmmm? The Lysian's were not bothering him or his people?, it was him alone desiring to be a Klingon and Romulon rolled into one to always be at war and destroy. He had a Hitler complex.

TROI AND RIKER HAVE NOT BEEN A LIVE-IN COUPLE FOR EONS. At the time when they would up on the Enterprise they did not have a desire to return to the "lover" state. Would any one of you people go back to a relationship that ended 5 to 10 years ago? If you DID it would prove that you are still a child. It would be unwise as you are a different person today........

Without naming each thing, it is clear that these people were left with selective memories and that makes no sense at all. It can only be done if a person is conscience of what he or she is thinking of doing.

Re: TNG S6: True Q

First of all,,,,,,,Amanda grew up on Earth with human beings for parents never having known her own true parents. Her powers would have been so recessed that nothing would have awakened them. Let's say this. suddenly she did a miracle: ha ha, somebody would have scooted her to the nearest doctor for help!!

I hated this ep and I have never liked John deLancie from the moment I first saw him on t.v. in the 1960's. When I saw him show up on TNG the pilot ep .....Farpoint......I was aggravated.........

As for Amanda, the scenes where she decides she can become Riker's whatever buddy is disgusting. As for scoring the eps, my day for that thing is way past. However, I give it a 0. Maybe 00.

Re: VOY S6: Pathfinder

This ep just slapped my face warped because Troi and Barclay? --there is no hope for either of them.

Barclay is worse than ever; but when he was on TNG I didn't hate him. Now I do. No military on earth would allow such a person with his warped mind to remain forever as an "anything". Troi? Yeah. they probably would keep her ...... because they think she's great.

See, on TNG he had the crew of the Enterprise as the school yard bullies to beat him up on his way to play on the holodeck.

Actuallllly, there is no way Barclay could ever clear his mind enough to figure out a way to give the Voyager crew a "shortcut" back to the Alpha Quadrant. It's sad that the writers were stupid enough to write him insane. That's no doubt what they all "did" in their writer's room, or rooms. Barclay just had to be carbon copies of themselves.

Seems someone or someones needed a paycheck that week.

Re: VOY S1: Ex Post Facto

May 1, 2019----Just saw this ep on t.v. and it is still ridiculous. Paris is the typical earthling male, STICK to any bimbo on any planet just the way Kirk did. He was so bored that he had to get it off with a - as someone else said - bird female. I always wondered what those creatures were suppose to be.

Back to bimboing, if Paris tried to come one to me, I'd kick him where it would definitely hurt.

I found this ep lacking back in the day as a new feature, I still don't like it.

As far as the secret message on Paris's brain, well, that is pretty lame. I have agree with many of the commenters.

Re: TOS S3: And the Children Shall Lead

Yep, it is pretty bad. But I have seen worse. As far a Spock's Brain, I like it. And let me tell you this, it was not until about three years ago that I began to laugh out loud at the dialog and expressions on Nimoy's face when he is beamed down to the ice planet....

After the theft of brain, it is a scream watching Shatner and Kelley talk about the loss. ...we will look for his brain; ......where(?) ...would we look? I would love to know how hard these guys laughed during filming. This proves that proper studying of the craft one can control one's own actions. They were very serious during this dialog......

As for the swords, know this, George said in several interviews that he did not play with swords, he played cowboys and Indians. He was an American history buff. So, when he chased crewmen in THE NAKED TIME with an epee, it was out of his realm. He didn't do karate or any of the other martial arts; therefore he had to learn them.

The old and ugly. My God, we have no choice, on our trip to death it will happen. I found that ridiculous.

Melvin Belli wanted to be on Star Trek and so they let him. It was fun for him. He was one of the TOP attorney's in California at that time and served the rich and famous and many Hollywood stars.

As for those hateful children, all spoiled brats who were probably offspring of the people who ran Star Trek just the same as it was in Miri. Only in Miri there were 3 kids who were real actors. In fact, one was a grown man.

As for the story line, it was awful. I always hated to see the top crew put into being total idiots; everyone falling into coma-like stupors; I would love to kill the kids, esp. the red-headed brat from hell. There really was much of a story.

Doc McCoy and his they need to grieve crap. If a child never grieved over a dead person, he would not become a killer. He would grow out of it.
You have to consider the people writing, producing and such, which is their true nationalities, ------- the way Trek people live is some misguided jerks dream. Earth human beings will never be like that because of where we came from. Do research and learn because humans had to have their freedom for thousands of years before any of them became what we are today.

As for the jumpsuits, think long underwear......go to DEVIL IN THE DARK......those were long underwear and they did not fit properly.

Re: TNG S2: The Schizoid Man

OMG! Graves is MORN!

What I can say about this ep is, I knew right away that something was wrong with Data when he came out of the room where dead Graves was. This ep was not funny, it was a pathetic way to use android Data in such a way. Graves had to be insane to cook up the IDEA of becoming Data in order to finger a young human girl. THAT IS WHAT IT WAS ABOUT.

Most old men would not hold back, they would simply say Kareen, I love you, etc. and so on, will you marry me. Who knows, she might have said yes. They worked together for years.

Yep, Rachel, Data ought to have keep out switch to prevent the any one from tampering with him. BUT, remember how Dr. Crusher and Geordi screwed him up so he could not prevent them from ooooh and aaahing while wearing those game glasses in The Game? Soong never really thought ahead. He was selfish.

Since I might never get to IN THEORY, that woman wanted a man to sit and hold her hand day in and out and always pamper her. When it didn't work out, she ran. OK>>>>>>Data wrote a program for her. All she could do in the end was boo hoo that he had no human feelings. My God almighty and @%$&()^$%%^ he was a ROBOT of sorts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why in the %^))##@ was she in Starfleet? She had absolutely no brains to work in space and repair the ship. That is the problem with a lot of the characters in the Trek universes. Do any one of you guys or girls think you would be chosen for a space journey[? ] if you were brainless looking for mr good bar crap brains?

Re: TOS S1: The Man Trap

Answer to order of TOS: they were shown out of order because when an ep was suppose to be due to run, it wasn't ready. Things were diff back then and the crews were learning to make stuff up because it did not exist. You can see in the first 13 eps how it was by the uniforms worn. Where No Man Has Gone Before was #1.

That salt monster scared the heck out of me for years. I could not look at it for years on top of years. Now let us get real, this saltsucker was the only one left because IT sucked all its family dry of salt when none [salt] was left on the planet. Whew. It was just greedy. Walking around the ship as other people it sucked its closed fist at the thumb.

Get a load of Kirk shouting down McCoy's throat about his lost love. No one ever shouted or made fun of Kirk and his lost loves that appeared from nowhere and that robot from Methuselah that he fell in love with. Spock showed pity and took the memory while Kirk slept. Kirk was jealous of other men having romances.

The lies told about the buffalo are just that, lies. During the '60's scientists were killing themselves to bring the buffalo back into a reasonable existence because the white man had nearly wiped them out once they hit the western USA. Real mindless.

No, no, no. Crater did not think Starfleet would send anyone to kill saltsucker, he knew the thing could shapeshift; that is how it got to Nancy and killed her and he no doubt had sex with the damn creature as Nancy. Oh, his nancy .... no man would boo hoo over his woman after being with her that many years. Nor would McCoy bawl like baby because he left her behind. McCoy had been married several times with bad experiences. He was not going to marry any woman again.

And, why in God's name would 2 people be sent beyond space and time, so far away, to dig in dirt? No shuttles. Have to wait a century for food. That planet was arid, there wouldn't be anyway a tomato or an ear of corn could grow there. Think about that one.

for Navamske may 29, '16:::::::
"The shuttlecrafts won't be here until Tuesday."
Yeah, Baby [like Mike Myers with funny teeth] that first shuttle really did not get in from Arizona for the episode so guess what? Gene Roddenberry invented beaming on the spot. Everybody hollers, 'what!' Yeah, beaming, transporters, that's the ticket [Jon Lovitz] And my dears, that how transporters came to be.

Yes, Jim, you are right, it was mind control, not shapeshiting. I am sorry.

Cloudane" The Cage had problems. A woman was #1. Jeffrey {i can't spell} Hunter who played Jesus was the captain, and various directors and producers despised the doctor in real life and other trash. It never got shown until Roddenberry made The Menagerie [or the cage].

Mr. gorgeous Hunter was old by the time he got this role and was married for the umpteenth time to a very young girl. They said she would stand around directing every body on how to film Jeffie. Holding his head one way and then 'tother. Can't film this side of his face cause he don't like that side of his face to be filmed. I truly do not remember how much time passed after this but Jeffrey it was reported was changing a light bulb at home, standing on a chair when he fell off and was killed. In the past few years I read on the net that his wife was really hateful to him and could have gotten angry enogh to do him in. Blank happens when little girls think marrying old me will get them DIMUNT RINGS AND MINK COATS. In the '50's and '60's before PETA, these 2 things are what 95% of the girls in hi school wanted. They would steal and did steal to get MINK, a real MINK. I knew one who embezzled the bank she worked in to get her mink and her cotton mill mama was so proud. No, never caught even when the State bank auditors came in to find out why so many mops and brooms were being bought because there were no mops or brooms at the bank. Hell, she was the one who signed the tickets! Servicers brought their own equipment when they came in at night to clean.

I am glad to see Farscape mentioned. Yep, Ben Browder's wife played the bone eater. Scopius takes her aboard his ship and she gets to eat her fill of bones. We don't see that, though. But men are disappearing though. It was BONE TO BE WILD. I just loved their titles and I watch Farscape when I go to bed. I know it all.

Can't stand it any longer. Where no man has gone....no one liked the doctor in this ep either and when the green light was lighted, get someone else to play the doctor....You know, there is so much hatred among the people in hollywood it is a wonder any person ever got a job. DeForest was brought in.

Re: VOY S7: Human Error

First of all, Braga probably decided Seven should nip- romance-in- bud as she is his girl and she might run off with Beltran eventho he probably had a family in real life ....got it? [sneer, sneer] It's called jealousy, people.

The Doc is a hologram, Tom is married, Kim is too young eventho he would loved to have embraced Seven and being young is another reason for him to hug her, kiss her,oh, yes, Tuvok is Vulcan, out of the question!, nobody else; got to be Chakotay. WORKS FOR ME!

I think Beltran did a sweet job in Human, and he was not nearly as stiff.....

As for dying people in Endgame. We never saw these deaths. They were words on pages for actors to speak and words for us viewers to hear. Did not take it to heart.

Endgame, did not really like it, what I did like was the borg queen shattering like a China doll in semi-slo-motion. Hurrah! At last!

Does anyone know if Jeri Ryan played the piano. I loved the music, it was haunting. Personally to all who read here, I want the theme - First Contact
[trek] played at my funeral, along with the one from Lord of the Rings with Frodo and the Elves sailing away and this one here I could add in a minute if the entire music stays beautiful. This is what a brain infarct does to a person, one cannot hold info from word to word.

Kate Mulgrew spoke to Jeri very nasty too. What ya' doin'!.........

Star Trek people do eat some weird eggs, don't they? The only eggs I eat come from Rhode Island Red Hens, White Hens, and I might eat a Dominecker chicken egg cause they are domestic girls and I have been close them when I was young.

Was the Torres actress feeling left out? Engine grease on her hair? No wonder she is so mean. She hates Seven too. Did ya' gitta load that there ugly look Roxanne laid on Jeri when Seven gives Torres the box with the baby shoes? Did you hear the Roxanne retort. A snap you up ... ... Someone had some issues with some one. All these people seemed to have a problem with Jeri in this ep. that day.

Natch, everyone had to have a word or two.....just like when Data, I think it was, ran to everyone for advice?.......or whoever. Somebody anyway. About something. Ok, Odo did make the rounds in this manner in His Way, but someone on TNG did too.

The dialog in this ep really sucks, even today in 2018. LOL. Just saw it on tv tonight.

Barclay? Poor guy. Everybody hated his guts because he was too intelligent so they all goaded him including Picard. If they hated him so much, why didn't Picard transfer him to a star base and a let him wait for a ship blah, blah? Barclay knew he was hated and that hurt his performance on the ship. A very good actor in every role he played outside Star Trek.

Let's talk Mulgrew. TV GUIDE MOSTLY. She was chosen at the eleventh hour for her role of Janeway. She gets to the set and it was written that the director [look it up] no name here, and he pulled her aside and then off the set and when they returned her hair was a mess. Years later I have learned that they knew one another years before. Hair mess had nothing to do with the ship landing in the Delta Quadrant.....we all know people do not necessarily get mussed up in trek wrecks. Comments went on forever!

Kate is 9 or 10 years younger than myself so grew up in the 1950's while I was winding up my high school career. She reminded me of snobs I had to go to school with all my life and she has not changed her attitude. Check her out on the net and find out a no-no that happened to her when she was in college. Another thing is that Kate Mulgrew forgets that she is not a young actress any more. This is not Shatner and TOS where he demanded every body else to give up their words to him. It has been said he got paid by the word and he would count all his words and if there was not enough for HIS pay check, he'd say Uhura doesn't need to say that, I'll say that. He boldly snatched Leonard Nimoy's words and denied he did it. Nimoy told him to his face on television that he did do it. No one was 'freinds' with Shatner on the set or off. No one liked him. Scotty actor said,"he is not a nice man."

Over the many years that TOS has run I usually recommend to myself not to watch this one. However, tonight I am allowing it to play thru because I am waiting on DS9 and 7.2 Shadows and Symbols and I don't want to miss that one. I have my reasons.

Firstly, I reject the title of amoeba for this thing and call it A BLOOD CLOT. This thing is outside the ship and I would like an answer: How can it pull human energy out of humans who are enclosed in a metal can? The human beings would die if their "energy" was "pulled" out of their bodies. The Vulcan's died and were absorbed.

Yes, oh, yes, give commendations to all but how will Starfleet find the "black box"? The blood clot will have eaten the ship too. It must have eaten the Vulcan ship since no one saw the ship. It absorbed the Vulcan's, n'es cest pas?

Did I spell that right? Haven't written it since 1975.

To be purely honest, I never let myself think of the writing in these or any other programs since the understanding of those dialogs would cause me to be "turned" off and not watch anything on tv. Not because I am so smart, etc., but because I would be irritated to death if I knew and so on and on........

TNG's The Chase is on and that old jerk-wad just died. Don't get me started about the foolishness of allowing an old man to travel in the universe on a shuttle all by himself. Nasa [and doctor's and probably the government] never let our astronauts make repeat trips into space. Guess why. Look it up you don't know why.

If I was going to score this ep., I'd give it a zero because it is stupid. The writing did get better when TNG came along. The actors acted like they were on a mission and no one quarreled at anyone else the way McCoy bashed Spock. Granted, TNG's crew persons could go off the deep end screaming in fear...............let me explain it again, going into space requires years of training. If you decided to get angry and dash out the door to cool off ------- guess what? Open the door and fall into vacuum.
