Re: Star Trek Into Darkness

Late to the party, and don't know if "Matt" is even still around, but if he is: just wanted to say I, for one, saw the same movie you did, and I very much appreciate your observant, thoughtful, and impassioned comments about it. Your posts taken together represent probably the most perceptive analysis and discussion of "STiD" I've seen. You've left me with little to add. (Though I would correct one factual point -- Adm. Marcus did know Khan's people were in the torpedos; Khan said he was caught trying to hide them in the torps and he went rogue on the incorrect assumption Marcus had killed them afterward. Doubtless Marcus, having rethought the wisdom of the whole genetically-augmented-superwarrior thing after Khan's rampage, saw firing them at Khan as a way to eliminate all his problems and any evidence in one fell swoop, and get his "inevitable" war with the Klingons as a bonus.)

Re: DS9 S6: You Are Cordially Invited

I don't think that the only reason people like Worf and Jadzia together is because she gets Klingons. Personally, I believe that they're a passionate couple who were very deeply in love.

Pairinig Worf and Jadzia together was not planned from the beginning it came up when the writers saw the actors acting together which means that other people saw their on screen chemistry as well(s4 dvd extras).

Michael Dorn in a convention last month in the question of which series did he prefer TNG or DS9 he said that he loved TNG and it's still his favorite series overall and he enjoyed his time there more but he's more proud of Worf's love story with Jadzia in DS9.

But different people have different tastes and that the beauty of life.

Re: DS9 S6: You Are Cordially Invited

@Elliott
In my opinion is: Worf/Jadzia > Troi/Riker > Tom/B'Elanna > Beverly/Picard > Seven/The Doctor > Janeway/Chacotay > Kira/Odo.

Ican't comment on Trip/T'Pol as I haven't watch all of Enterprise yet

Re: DS9 S6: Tears of the Prophets

One of the saddest episodes of DS9, Jadzia is my favorite character, the series isn't the same without her!

Re: DS9 S6: You Are Cordially Invited

Are you kidding? No chemistry? Worf and Dax had the best chemistry than any other Trek couple!

Re: DS9 S7: Seventh Season Recap

After the fantastic seasons 4, 5 and 6 this season feels disconected. I didn't like the resolution to some of the storylines, I didn't like the pa' wraith stuff, or Dukat's reduce to a one dimensional villan, I didn't like Ezri's inclusion to the crew, the Breen involvement to the war should have been handled better and not in the last minute, they should show us more about the Romulans, they should be more pivotal in the final season. Sisko did all he did in the pale moonlight to bring them to the war only to have them in the background? I didn't need episodes like The Emperor's new cloack, Take me out to holosuite, Prodical daughter, Badda Bing, Badda bang. The season also had some great storyline with Damar being in the highlight but oveall I can say that I'm dissapointed by the final od DS9.

One of my favorite episodes. Worf and Jadzia are so great together.
