Re: TNG S7: Phantasms

And I still say the Enterprise-D looks so much better with all it's external lights off. Kind of menacing.

Re: VOY S4: Prey

I'm curious - why is it that whenever the ship goes to 'Red Alert' then all the lights seem to automatically dim? Surely a (potentially) emergency situation is exactly the wrong time to have crew fumbling around in the dark as their eyes adjust? What am I missing?

Re: TNG S5: Disaster

The one thing I really like about this episode are the exterior views of the Enterprise without power - for once it actually looks realistic, not being surrounded by that horrible garish blue & red lighting & weird rectangles all over the hull. As someone who grew up with TOS, and for whom the Enterprise WAS Star Trek, I could never get over how TNG made the interior sets so stunning but the Enterprise itself look like a cartoon.

Re: TNG S4: Remember Me

Normally any episode in which Wesley is prominent gets an automatic zero from me. But this scores one star for having the best line ever - "So it's not me, it's the universe that's wrong.". I've had that feeling my whole life!!! In fact, add on another half-star for the way McFadden says it with such sincerity...

Re: TNG S3: Sarek

Did anyone else notice in the background of the brawl, a young woman convincingly beating the sh*t out of a bigger male crewmate. Cracked me up completely, especially as I was already laughing at Riker/Worf's "I hadn't noticed." exchange (as Derek D. mentions above). Why wasn't this actress given the role of Tasha Yar?
