Re: TNG S6: Tapestry

PS - This episode also has the most hilarious one-liner in Star Trek history (from Worf):

Picard: "Mr. Worf, what is my rank and position?"
Worf: "You are Lieutenant, Junior Grade!"

Hehe. I'm laughing out loud right now just thinking about it. I wonder how many takes it took for them to do this scene without busting out laughing.

Re: TNG S6: Tapestry

In the top ten Treks (any series) of all time. Q and Picard at their best. Story is deeply thought provoking and hilarious at the same time. Not an easy feat. This is Star Trek at the top of its game for sure. Another episode that reminds us of why we are fanatics.

Re: DS9 S4: The Visitor

Incredible episode. Very powerful and moving. The complaints I'm reading here are definitely coming from humans I do not relate to. OK, is it as good as The Inner Light? No. But nothing is, and we have to get over it. The Inner Light is like The Beatles of TV - it was surreal magic that will never be repeated. And Patrick Stewart's acting talent is light years beyond any other Trek actor. Robert Picardo is the only other actor that is anywhere close, and even he is no Patrick Stewart. However, we don't have to compare and judge everything based on that, and it is no reason to dismiss this incredible episode. As someone mentioned here, The Visitor is one of three Star Trek moments that transcend even Star Trek itself - the other two being the end of The Wrath of Kahn and the aforementioned Inner Light. Ignore the silly nitpickers and lose yourself in this amazing hour of TV. A masterpiece for sure.

Re: VOY S4: Living Witness

@Patrick, I agree. Best Voyager episode IMO, and parallels nicely with the episodes you list. I think "The Inner Light" was the best episode, and finest installment in ANY Star Trek series. TNG is on a different level altogether though. DS9 is highly overrated. Just finished my run through the entire DS9 series, and I think Voyager is much better, especially the acting. At the time of DS9 (real time) I thought it was great. This last time through DS9 however...... boooooring...... and the acting is terrible.
