Re: TOS S3: Turnabout Intruder
Im going against the grain and say this is a far better episode than most believe it is.The idea that someone can transfer their mind into another person is very interesting and shatner does a good job of being lester.

Re: TOS S3: The Cloud Minders
Great episode but I never understood the purpose of a city in the clouds, the amount of energy need must be staggering and any failure and down goes the entire city.

Re: TOS S3: Requiem for Methuselah
I have to disagree with most of the comments, and say this is one of my favorite episodes, James Daly is perfect as flint. My only nitpick is the piece that spock plays would never be written by brahms, who was a classical composer, the piece that spock plays is a simple baroque dance number, something a court composer would have thrown together for some get together the king was throwing.

Gonna crack my knuckles and jump for joy. I got a clean bill of health from Doctor McCoy.

Re: TOS S3: That Which Survives
Fun episode, not great
UHURA: What happened?
SPOCK: The occipital area of my head seems to have impacted with the chair.
UHURA: No, Mister Spock. I meant what happened to us?
SPOCK: That we have yet to ascertain.

Re: TOS S3: Let That Be Your Last Battlefield
Great episode and Im very surprised by the bad review and comments.Remember this is the 60's and the south still had segregated bathrooms and water fountains.
There is also a not so subtle nudge at conservative christians , when bele very cautiously says "I once heard that on some of your planets people believe they are descended from apes. " For those too young back then white southern christians believed they were superior to blacks.

Re: TOS S3: Wink of an Eye
Fun episode, but a science disaster, anybody accelerated like they were would consume enormous amounts of oxygen and any movement would create very powerful sonic shock waves. There are 101 other problems also , you have to shut your brain down on this one.

Re: TOS S3: Day of the Dove
One of my favorite episodes, the idea that there could be a creature that actually feeds on hated. My only complaint is that the creature shouldnt have been revealed that early in the episode.

Re: TOS S3: For the World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky
Not a bad episode, but I always wondered why the mccoy is dying subplot??, were they trying to write the actor out of the series??

Re: TOS S3: Is There In Truth No Beauty?
Great episode, the idea that a creature could be so ugly that one look will drive you mad is very interesting, but if beauty and ugliness subjective, then kollos would have very different effects on different people.

Re: TOS S3: The Paradise Syndrome
I always wondered, how many of the obelisks were there?? Im assuming there had to have been many scattered all over the planet to take care of any asteroid coming from any direction. And one more, how did the enterprise know the obelisk deflector has become defective?? Other than a few plot holes ,its a very good episode.

Re: TOS S1: Shore Leave
Fun episode, but as mentioned by other posters, it takes a very long time for everyone to make the connection between their thoughts and the people and things they find. Also the kirk/finnegan fight goes on for far too long.

Re: TOS S1: The Conscience of the King
Good episode but too illogical.Crime fight even now is very sophisticated Im sure it will be 1000 times better in a few hundred years and yet anton has no past before kodos' death and everyone who was a witness except reilly and kirk have been killed and the Shakespearean troup were always close by , and goodgod nobody after 20 years could figure this out???

Re: TOS S1: Miri
Forget that pollard was almost 30 and miri was almost 20, or that the clothes dont look too bad for being 300 years old, this is a good episode.Of course we still have the problem that how did these kids feed themselves??With so few kids around and the food supply exhausted centuries ago we really only have one conclusion...Cannabilalism .
