Re: VOY S4: The Killing Game

I just rewatched this episode on Netflix.

If nothing else, the implications of this episode for the Star Trek universe are astounding. Holographic technology, combined with neural transmitters, can be used to completely rewrite a person's entire personality and skillset, giving them access to new languages (as seen with Neelix's mastery of Klingon), combat abilities (familiarity with archaic firearms) and a lifetimes's worth of knowledge. It can even be used to project entire body parts (the cranial ridges seen on Neelix and Janeway) on to a person. If combined with the doctor's mobile emitter, this would give any Starfleet officer godlike abilites.

Just sayin'

Re: VOY S7: Nightingale

WTH? Harry directly ignores the prime directive (in a super clear cut matter... Like the textbook example) no moral ambiguity. Don't get involved in someone else's war! Anyway he does this, then the captain backs him? Then rewards him with a command position after demonstrating god awful judgement?

I don't even care about anything after this point in the episode. Everyone on the ship is fired. You all fail basic deplomacy.

Re: VOY S5: Someone to Watch Over Me

I been rewatching Voyager for the first time since I saw it originally and what struck me throughout the series this time was that I couldn't remember much of the shows at all. It was literally like I was watching it for the first time again and I been wondering how it could be that nothing at all stuck in my memory, was it really that uninteresting throughout? That aside, this episode was the first one that I did remember seeing and it's still good.

Re: VOY S4: The Omega Directive

Pretty good overall, the secrecy thing in the beginning was a bit too much. Especially when Chakotay finally manages to convince Janeway what we knew all along: They're alone out here, maybe involve the rest. Which goes from 'senior officers, need to know etc', to seemingly involve all of the Blueshirts on board. And if by the end of the episode there was a single person aboard (maybe apart from Neelix) that didn't know what the Omega particle was, colour me surprised...

Re: VOY S4: Vis A Vis

As mentioned above several times, the main thing with this one was Paris' sudden need for a change of pace. I did keep waiting for him to actually blurt out 'Damn it, I'm a Pilot, not a doctor' as the reason for keeping Voyager's top pilot on double duties seems farfetched when they should need him with a clear head at the helm when he actually has to work.

Re: BSG S2: Downloaded

The list of names Roslin gives the doctor is a list of mothers, not a list of baby corpses/future abortions.

The assistent hands out the list saying : capeable, willing, anonumous and trustworthy.

Something you can say about a future mother/stepmother and not about a baby thats part human or better said alive.

Unless Roslin uses her glasses to scan pregant bellies of all prospects she doesnt know the outcome of the baby apperal etc anymore then we do.

Anyone who has kids, knows that you know every wrinkle and exactly where that resistant hair is.Not even talking about hair and eye color, the fact that she is part asian(or robotic asian).

As a plotdevice its ok,but using this as a excuse to make more of the story then it is isnt :)

Hope to make sense, english is my third language and highschool was ages ago.

Re: ENT S4: Borderland

I feel so sad for Brent Spiner. His bankaccount is running dry so he obviously had to play in this abomination of gene's star trek.

Cant wait for someone like Russel T. Davies to step in and save star trek, like he revived and saved dokter who(revived and saved are capital understatements here).About time we see some gays in space anyway ;)

We already had two cowboys,a femalish knowitall,a shakespearian powerhouse and a black supernarrator.
The next captain should be a welsh gay.

And a little less american and a little more european could do the franchise some good.

Re: ENT S3: E2

"contaminate the timeline"

I hope someday in the future someone will come back a couple of thousand years to show us that time itself is always clean and cant be contaminated ;)

Re: ENT S3: Hatchery

Janeway would have travelled trough time to save them,no need for alien infections.
