Re: DS9 S3: The Die Is Cast

TNG blows. DS9 for the win. Literally. If this was the Enterprise Picard would be like "no way man. We're not getting involved cuz the prime directive 'n' shit" but he would say it in strong British acting. Captain Sisko Kicks ass like a Boss. Also the acting is out of this glactic quadrant.

Re: DS9 S3: Prophet Motive

I slept through most of this episode. The ending was kind of interesting. That "B" story really was a zero. Im begging to dislike Grand Negus Zek episodes.

Re: DS9 S3: Past Tense, Part II

Some trek fans hate Klingons, many people hate holodeck episodes others hate memory spirits/alien- telepath ghosts. I hate time travel episodes. For me this episode throws at me technobable, timeline disruption nonsense, and over the top preachiness plus boring filler.

Re: DS9 S3: Fascination

What the hell did I just watch? I didn't like or love it but it was million times more watchable than "Meridian". The humour was mostly flat, but since I have grown to love these characters it wasn't a terrible ordeal sitting down to watch it. If it was a TNG episode I would have been filled with rage and hatred. This episode is easily a 257,976 out of 125,860,730,133.

Re: DS9 S3: Defiant

This is a damn good episode. It was fun, intriguing, excellently acted. This is a Five star episode. The best mashing of TNG and DS9 to date. I liked the Kiss at the end the writers remind us again that Riker will act like Riker.

This episode is bullcrap. Terrible techno babble. No chemistry between romantic leads. Dax is The B story is mildly amusing.

Re: DS9 S3: The Abandoned

I didn't like it as much a Mr. Jammer. This should have been a two part episode the abruptly resolves itself in the last minute of the fifth act. The Odo scenes where he's trying to connect with the teenage Jem'Hadar are good. I didn't believe for a second that Jake is able to get with a smoking hot Dabo girl in her twenties. I believe even less that Captain Sisko would in any way object. If I was Jake's single father i would be fist bumping him and handing him federation issue condoms. Almost as important I'm disappointed I didn't get to see Odo and the Jem'Hadar's road trip to the Dominion.

Re: DS9 S2: Tribunal

The acting is superb, but the ending is quite dumb. I agree the visual style was excellent, but this episode hit us over the head with the Orwellian themes. The scene where Odo interrogated O'Brien in jail was excellent and continues to highlight one of the show's strengths, the talented cast. I give this one 785/1,054

This episode is so well executed, acted and written. Evil Odo's death was so easy the best moment in this episode.

Re: DS9 S2: The Maquis, Part I

This episode is muy bueno. Love the Dukat/Sisko team work. The ditzy Vulcan woman was awsome. What weapons smuggler just randomly walks into a seedy bar and asks for equipment after one date.

This episode is gold. Live they girl talk between Kira and Jadzia. Love the guest stars and Klingon blood oath talk. This is why I live T.V. sci-fi.

Re: DS9 S2: Playing God

Liked the "it takes me longer to get ready as a female" joke. Yes it was corny but effective. The rest of the episode was boring, fell asleep a couple of times during my streaming experience. Nothing great here just another attempt to jam a TNG level plot into this show.

Re: DS9 S2: Shadowplay

I like this episode, because I love the character despite the thin plot. The A story premise initially had me worried that the episode would just turn out to be a meh episode, but once again the ensemble cast save us fans from a potentially disappointing show. If this was a TNG episode Kira would of done nothing with her attraction to Bareil and Jake would have acted with the same ability as Will Weaton, and the aliens of the week would have failed to make a blip on my radar. But this DS9 where terrible scripts have to fight tooth and nail, to the last cliche in order to sink an episode.

Re: DS9 S2: Second Sight

What the hell did I just watch? It seems like they swapped out a DS9 episode with a generic season 4 "drea- ghost" episode of TNG. The one where Troy's empathic abilities are temporarily out of order.

Re: DS9 S1: Progress

The B story was as some have called it "charming". I'm not a fan of this episode but i was blown away by how the writers have kept developing and fleshing out characters and relationships on the series. Jake and Nog, Sisko and Kira. That final scene where Kira burns down the old mans cottage like the Cardassians she's fought all her life would was amazing.

Re: DS9 S1: Battle Lines

This episode isn't as bad as some people say it is. This is definitely dare I say underrated. Jonathan Banks from "Breaking Bad" playing Shel-La was an unexpected treat. Even if I didn't recognize a guest star as one of my favorite actors from one of the greatest t.v. shows ever made I can tell Banks' acting was a home run. The technobable was made tolerable my the meta line delivery by Dax "A Deferential magnetometer. I've never heard of deferential magnetometer. How does it work?" Admit people there far worse instances of techobabel in the Star Trek universe. Visitor uses all of her method acting skills in this one. Overal this episode feels like a TOS episode written by Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame. That look of disgust and or pity was pretty good. This is an interesting piece of sci-fi overall. Though the limited set pieces and fighting definitely are sub par.

Re: DS9 S1: Vortex

Get past the sappy ending and you'll find an excellent development of Odo. The end was pretty good even if the forced sentimentality isn't to a viewers liking. Brilliant performance by René Auberjonois

Re: DS9 S1: Move Along Home

At first it was so silly that it made me laugh. Then around the halfway point it started to get boring. This had an early TNG feel to it. I suspect they borrowed some of the set pieces. This episode is low budget garbage.Funniest line in the episode is said by Quark "Do you know what a holosuite is? Do you have sex in your world?" Finally somebody says what most trek fans have been wondering about.

Siddig El Fadil's acting in the third act made this bland mystery and made it a riot of fun. Try not laughing as he delivers his ham-fisted lines.

Re: TNG S7: All Good Things...

I liked the part where the Enterprise got some badass upgrades. They added a lift kit and put super charged the engines resulting in a third nacelle. To a Trek fan that's kind of like adding a third breast to a beautiful woman. I also screamed at Worf when he attempted to cockblock himself when he was on the date with Troi. Then I laughed when Picard cockblocked Worf twice. Picard talking to file footage of Riker from season one was priceless.
Too bad we never find out what happened to Laforge's mom, who built the Dyson sphere from episode Relics, what became of the mind control aliens from Conspiracy. I'm still not sure why Tasha Yar became a Romulan. Thank you Jammers reviews you've re awakened my Star Trek fandom. I'm re watching the TNG movies and DS9 and Voyager.

Re: TNG S7: Preemptive Strike

This is episode is why I love Michelle Forbes. Strong writing and acting. Creepiest Picard dialogue ever at the seedy bar with Ro.

More Ensign Ro please. Even if it's a crossover episode where she takes command of the Battlestar Pegasus and tortures Wesley Crusher to death.

Re: TNG S7: Eye of the Beholder

This is a good. Hilarious episode just ignore all the "empathic echo" nonsense think of it as the episode where Troi becomes an early version of "The Ghost Whisperer" or is it "Medium"? It was fun to see the soapy over acting, the Worf awkwardness, Data discussing suicide. It was a nearly arranged mess and a fun ride.

"Empathic echo" sounds almost as stupid a plot device as "Space Dementia" was on Michael Bay's "Armageddon'

Re: TNG S6: Face of the Enemy

I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. Love the performance by Carolyn Seymour and even marina Sirtis. The writer's new how to effectively create tension. That almost submarine movie like scene at the end was television gold. My new drinking game is take a drink every time Tal Shiar is spoken.
