Re: DS9 S7: It's Only a Paper Moon

Of course it's probably necessary to have Nog react like this to his ordeal, but is that how a Ferengi would react to the event? Seems very human to me.

Re: DS9 S7: Take Me Out to the Holosuite

The Vulcans sure didn't seem to be faster and stronger based on their hitting and running abilities.

All I noticed from this episode is Kira's new hairdo.

Re: DS9 S6: In the Pale Moonlight

I agree that the episode rigged it so that Sisko's actions are absolved of any real repercussions. Yes, he didn't expose Garak's murders, but he had no proof of them even if he decided to. Starfelet approved the plan, so his career wasn't at stake, and everything else he did was not that bad given the situation (Janeway had done far worse).

Re: DS9 S6: Behind the Lines

I was hoping that Odo would kill the female Founder and assume her form, so he could give orders to the Vorta. But , nope.

I like how the PADDs can't seem to hold more than one document or file at time. Gotta hand over thee PADDs? Even in 1997 a tablet/iPad was just a technical dream.

I guess no FX budget to see Dax and the Defiant successfully destroying the Dominio spying array. Too bad.

Re: DS9 S6: Sons and Daughters

If Dukat is now the leader of Cardassia, why is he living on DS9/Terok Nor? Shouldn't he be ON Cardassia?

Why would Alexander be such a physically small Klingon? Worf is certainly a large Klingon, and his mother K'Ehleyr was a tall human/Klingon hybrid.

Re: DS9 S5: Call to Arms

Several comments:

Since Odo is a god to the Jem Hadar and the Vorta, can't he order them to leave?

The station's offenses seemed to be much more awesome in The Way of the Warrior - many more torpedoes were shot out much faster it seemed than here.

Why didn't a couple of runabouts help the Defiant lay the minefield?

Why are station personnel the only ones working on a way to mine the wormhole? You'd think a crack team on Vulcan and Earth would be assigned to it. Hell, they made a special team to communicate with Voyager.

After the Jem Hadar destroyed the Odyssey in an unprovoked attack 2 years ago, I'd think the Federation would have taken a more defensive posture this whole time.

Re: DS9 S5: Empok Nor

Why didn't the guy who Garak stabbed contact O'Brien with his communicator after he was attached? Later in the ep we see that the communicators work fine for conversation.

Re: DS9 S5: Children of Time

So the hard choice that the crew made is suddenly taken away from them by ALT Odo. So really, they didn't make the choice. And afterwards, they don't seem that upset about not saving the colony. In fact. I might suspect that they are quietly thankful ALT Odo sabotaged the plan.

Re: DS9 S5: By Inferno's Light

Where was Odo in this episode? Seems like he would be the one on DS9 that could spot the Changeling.

Re: DS9 S5: Rapture

Why didn't Sisko just say "Computer save program"? No cloud storage in Quarks holosuite? Gotta use a flash drive in 2375 I guess.

Re: DS9 S5: The Ascent

So Nog exercises first thing in the morning, in his uniform, then takes a shower, then puts back on his uniform! No sweatpants in the future? And Nog can't send Rom a text message telling him when his ship is about to arrive? And of course, the runabout has no phasers, tricorders, or a medkit to take with them!

Re: DS9 S4: Homefront

No way Starfleet could have enough security officers to cover every city and town on Earth. Aren't there local security forces on each planet? Again, what is the deal with the two uniforms? Seems aside from DS9 and Voyager crews all other Starfleet personnel wear the TNG uniforms.

Re: DS9 S4: The Visitor

Very similar to "A'' Good Things", with the older version of the crew back on the Defiant/Enterprise in the future.

Re: DS9 S4: The Way of the Warrior

Why can't Bashir develop a scan for changelings? HE has one living on the station..analyse. The line that a changeling in the form of a rock will scan as a rock makes no sense, as it should not be able to change it's mass or molecular makeup, not to mention that even in the rock form it still has concioussness, as it can then change into something else.

I still don't get the two different uniforms thing.

Worf's line that he will need time to get used to a red uniform makes no sense, as he wore a red uniform in S1 TNG then switched in S2. I assume he began his Starfleet career with a red command uniform.

The Klingons could have avoided the whole problem withe Federation by flying straight to Cardassia.

Re: DS9 S3: Heart of Stone

So the Founders are impervious to phaser fire? When fake Kira shoots the crystal it expands. So logically the Founder wasn't hurt. Unless fake Kira used a weak setting on the phaser.

Re: DS9 S3: Past Tense, Part I

Amazing that no one has a cell phone. Even in 1995 people had phones and yahoo.. Do you have anyway to contact your friends? In Voyager in 1996 people even had phones.

Re: TOS S3: Turnabout Intruder

So the 4-star episodes in Season 1 both took place in the 20th century, while all the ones in Season 2 occurred in the. "present".

Re: TNG S5: I, Borg

Not sure I see how Hugh returning to the collective as an individual would harm the collective. When the Borg initially assimilate an individual, that individuality is wiped out.

Re: VOY S4: Living Witness

It would have been more realistic if Quarren jumped back in fear once Doc appeared. Since he though that he was a killer his whole life.

Re: VOY S4: Retrospect

There were clear ways to solve what happened in the lab for those two hours.Any video.? I mean every gas station has one. Who was the woman that Sevev said was assisting Kovin? Who was the man that supposedly assimilated? I've they don't exist then the crime never happened.

Re: VOY S4: Message in a Bottle

Seems silly by today's standards that Voyager could transmit a hologram across the Galaxy and back, but Neelix has to hand-deliver PADD's to each crewman for their letters. Can't the lettrs just be forwarded to each person's device or quarters? What? no textmessages, e-mail or Skype in the 24th century? Even if all PADDs are communal and all user's data is in the network, anyone could get the letter at any time.
