Re: TNG S4: In Theory

Worf's advice scene is priceless.

Re: TNG S4: Half a Life

Hearing the tired "Mr. Woof" gag is just painful.

Re: TNG S4: Night Terrors

I watched this episode late at night, all alone, in the dark. It spooked me more then I thought it would. That morgue scene was absolutely brilliant - I didn't remember that at all from years ago. I was very impressed. The two eyes in the dark was also sufficiently creepy. WTG, TNG for giving me the willies!

Re: TOS S3: The Enterprise Incident

Did I miss something? When Kirk and Spock were aboard the Romulan ship, why didn't the Romulans put up their shields? Or at least, once they picked up the alien transmission, why didn't they put them up? Or after the cloaking device was stolen? Surely they would have thought the Enterprise would beam out Spock. I always thought the Romulans were more clever.

Re: TNG S4: Clues

Did this episode remind anyone of something else... maybe a Voyager episode? It seemed so familiar...

@Nic - whoops, that's "rewatching."

Re: TNG S3: Transfigurations

@Nic - in researching these, I'm finding Worf had some of the best lines and an incredible delivery. He's been the bright spot (sometimes the only bright spot) in a lot of episodes for me.

Re: TNG S3: The Vengeance Factor

When the away team's on the planet and Riker calls out for them to vaporise the noranium, he, Geordi and Data shoot the noranium but Worf clearly fires up at the Pirates. Classic Worf. And the only thing good about this episode.

Re: TNG S2: Q Who

Three brief comments:
1) yes, brilliant score!
2) Sonya dying would have been too predictable and I think it was smart to not kill her.
3) great shot when the away team is on the Borg cube and it pans out so show layer upon layer of Borg chambers. Seems The Matrix would borrow this idea. Great wow factor.

Re: TNG S2: The Measure of a Man

This is TNG's first great episode but it is hardly TNG's "Duet."

Re: TNG S2: A Matter of Honor

One of my pet peeves from season 1 is the cumbersome exchange:
Lieutenant, open hailing frequencies.
Having frequencies open, sir.

I cringed every time I heard it. It's incredibly refreshing to see Worf respond with a simple "Open" when given the order.

Re: TNG S2: The Schizoid Man

I believe this was the first episode directed by Les Landau. I think that helped this episode win some of the points that it did.
